كِتَابُ الْإِيمَانِ وَالرُّؤْيَا
What was said about the description of faith.
مَا قَالُوا فِي صِفَةِ الْإِيمَانِ

Hazrat Ghaalib bin Bakr said that if I am asked about the best person of the mosque, that do you testify that he is a believer with perfect faith and free from hypocrisy? So I will not testify, and if I testify then this testimony will be a testimony that he is from the people of Paradise. If I am asked about the worst person, and the people say that do you testify that he is a hypocrite with perfect hypocrisy and deprived of faith, then I will not testify because if I testify then that testimony will be that he is from the people of Hellfire.
حضرت غالب بن بکر فرماتے ہیں کہ اگر مجھ سے مسجد کے سب سے افضل آدمی کے بارے میں سوال کیا جائے کہ کیا آپ گواہی دیتے ہیں کہ وہ کامل ایمان والا مومن ہے اور نفاق سے بری ہے۔ تو میں گواہی نہیں دوں گا اور اگر گواہی دوں گا تو یہ گواہی اس بات کی گواہی ہوگی کہ وہ جنت میں ہے۔ اگر مجھ سے سب سے برے آدمی کے بارے میں سوال کیا جائے اور لوگ کہیں کہ کیا آپ گواہی دیتے ہیں کہ وہ مکمل نفاق والا منافق ہے اور ایمان سے محروم ہے تو میں گواہی نہیں دوں گا کیونکہ اگر میں گواہی دوں تو وہ گواہی اس بات کی ہوگی کہ وہ جہنم میں ہے۔
Hazrat Ghalib bin Bakr farmate hain keh agar mujh se masjid ke sab se afzal aadmi ke bare mein sawal kya jaye keh kya aap gawahi dete hain keh woh kamil eman wala momin hai aur nifaq se bari hai. To main gawahi nahi dun ga aur agar gawahi dun ga to yeh gawahi is baat ki gawahi hogi keh woh jannat mein hai. Agar mujh se sab se bure aadmi ke bare mein sawal kya jaye aur log kahen keh kya aap gawahi dete hain keh woh mukammal nifaq wala munafiq hai aur eman se mehroom hai to main gawahi nahi dun ga kyunki agar main gawahi dun to woh gawahi is baat ki hogi keh woh jahannum mein hai.
حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ ، عَنْ غَالِبِ بْنِ بَكْرٍ ، قَالَ : " لَوْ سَأَلْتُ عَنْ أَفْضَلِ أَهْلِ هَذَا الْمَسْجِدِ ، فَقَالُوا : نَشْهَدُ أَنَّهُ مُؤْمِنٌ مُسْتَكْمِلُ الْإِيمَانِ بَرِيءٌ مِنَ النِّفَاقِ ، لَمْ أَشْهَدْ ، وَلَوْ شَهِدْتُ لَشَهِدْتُ أَنَّهُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، وَلَوْ سَأَلْتُ عَنْ رَجُلٍ «، أَوِ الشَّكُّ مِنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ،» رَجُلًا ، فَقَالُوا : نَشْهَدُ أَنَّهُ مُنَافِقٌ مُسْتَكْمِلُ النِّفَاقِ بَرِيءٌ مِنَ الْإِيمَانِ ، لَمْ أَشْهَدْ ، وَلَوْ شَهِدْتُ لَشَهِدْتُ أَنَّهُ فِي النَّارِ
