Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 34339
It is narrated from Hazrat Murq Ajli that he said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) recited: {Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you. Until you visit the graveyards}. The narrator says: Then you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: There is nothing for you in your wealth except that which you ate and finished. Or you wore it and it became old. Or you gave it in charity and left it (ahead).
حضرت مؤرق عجلی سے روایت ہے وہ کہتے ہیں کہ جناب رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے { أَلْہَاکُمُ التَّکَاثُرُ حَتَّی زُرْتُمُ الْمَقَابِرَ } کی تلاوت کی۔ راوی کہتے ہیں پھر آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : تمہارے لیے تمہارے مال میں سے صرف وہی کچھ مال ہے جو تم نے کھالیا اور ختم کردیا۔ یا تم نے پہن لیا اور پرانا کردیا یا تم نے صدقہ کردیا اور (آگے) چھوڑ دیا۔
Hazrat Murq Ajli se riwayat hai woh kehte hain ke janab rasool Allah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ne {alhakumut takasur hatta zurtumul maqabir} ki tilawat ki. Ravi kehte hain phir aap (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ne farmaya: tumhare liye tumhare maal mein se sirf wohi kuch maal hai jo tumne kha liya aur khatam kar diya. Ya tumne pehen liya aur purana kar diya ya tumne sadqa kar diya aur (aage) chhor diya.
أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ ، عَنْ ، مُوَرِّقٍ الْعِجْلِي ، قَالَ : قَرَأَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ : ﴿ أَلْهَاكُمُ التَّكَاثُرُ حَتَّى زُرْتُمُ الْمَقَابِرَ ﴾ [ التكاثر : ٢ ]، قَالَ : فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ : « لَيْسَ لَكَ مِنْ مَالِكِ إِلَّا مَا أَكَلْتَ فَأَفْنَيْتَ ، أَوْ لَبِسْتَ فَأَبْلَيْتَ أَوْ تَصَدَّقْتَ فَأَمْضَيْتَ »
