Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 34359
It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Abu Abdur Rahman (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "I do not order you to become scholars and ascetics who have abandoned the world."
حضرت ابوعبد الرحمن سے روایت ہے وہ کہتے ہیں کہ جناب رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ارشاد فرمایا : میں تمہیں یہ حکم نہیں دیتا کہ تم علم دوست عالم (محض) اور تارک دنیا درویش بن جاؤ۔
Hazrat Abu Abdur Rahman se riwayat hai woh kehte hain keh janab rasool Allah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ne irshad farmaya: main tumhen ye hukm nahin deta keh tum ilm dost alim (mahez) aur tareek dunya darwaish ban jao.
وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ فَيَّاضٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ : لَا آمُرُكُمْ أَنْ تَكُونُوا قِسِّيسِينَ وَرُهْبَانًا
