Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 35049
It is narrated from Hazrat Salman that he said that if one man spends the night giving charity in the way of God and another man spends the night reciting the Quran and remembering Allah, then I think that the one who remembers God is superior.
حضرت سلمان سے روایت ہے وہ کہتے ہیں کہ اگر ایک آدمی اس حال میں رات گزارے کہ راہ خدا میں سونا خیرات کرے اور دوسرا آدمی اس حال میں رات گزارے کہ قرآن کی تلاوت کرے اور اللہ کا ذکر کرے تو میرا خیال یہ ہے کہ خدا کو یاد کرنے والا افضل ہے۔
Hazrat Salman se riwayat hai woh kehte hain keh agar ek aadmi iss haal mein raat guzare keh raah Khuda mein sona khairat kare aur dusra aadmi iss haal mein raat guzare keh Quran ki tilawat kare aur Allah ka zikar kare to mera khayal yeh hai keh Khuda ko yaad karne wala afzal hai.
مُعَاذُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ التَّيْمِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ ، قَالَ : « لَوْ بَاتَ رَجُلٌ يُعْطِي الْقِيَانَ الْبِيضَ ، وَبَاتَ آخَرُ يَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ وَيَذْكُرُ اللَّهَ ، رَأَيْت أَنَّ ذَاكِرَ اللَّهِ أَفْضَلُ »
