Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 35068
It is narrated on the authority of Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-'As that he said: If there are two men, one of whom comes from the East and the other from the West, and one of them has gold, which he spends in the right place, and the other is engaged in the remembrance of Allah, until they meet on the way, then the better of the two will be the one who is engaged in the remembrance of Allah.
حضرت عبداللہ بن عمرو بن عاص سے روایت ہے وہ کہتے ہیں کہ اگر دو آدمی ہوں۔ ان میں سے ایک مشرق کی جانب سے آئے اور دوسرا مغرب کی جانب سے آئے۔ ان میں سے ایک کے پاس سونا ہو۔ جو وہ حقدار جگہ پر خرچ کرتا آئے اور دوسرا خدا کا ذکر کرتا رہے۔ یہاں تک کہ یہ دونوں راستہ میں مل جائیں تو ان دونوں میں افضل وہ ہوگا جو اللہ کا ذکر کررہا ہے۔
Hazrat Abdullah bin Amro bin Aas se riwayat hai woh kehte hain keh agar do aadmi hon in mein se ek mashriq ki jaanib se aaye aur dusra maghrib ki jaanib se aaye in mein se ek ke paas sona ho jo woh haqdar jaga per kharch karta aaye aur dusra khuda ka zikar karta rahe yahan tak keh ye donon raaste mein mil jayen to in donon mein afzal woh hoga jo Allah ka zikar kar raha hai
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مِسْعَرٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي ثَعْلَبَةُ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ قَالَ : « لَوْ أَنَّ رَجُلَيْنِ أَقْبَلَ أَحَدُهُمَا مِنْ الْمَشْرِقِ ، وَالْآخَرُ مِنْ الْمَغْرِبِ ، مَعَ أَحَدِهِمَا ذَهَبٌ لَا يَضَعُ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا إلَّا فِي حَقٍّ ، وَالْآخَرُ يَذْكُرُ اللَّهَ حَتَّى يَلْتَقِيَا فِي طَرِيقٍ لَكَانَ الَّذِي يَذْكُرُ اللَّهَ أَفْضَلَهُمَا »
