Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 35994
It is narrated from Hazrat Hasan that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Seeking knowledge is obligatory upon every Muslim. Seeking knowledge at first is truth (haqq), then it becomes a virtue (birr), and then it becomes showing off (riyaa)."
حضرت حسن سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا کہ ولیمہ پہلے دن حق ہے، دوسرے دن نیکی ہے اور تیسرے دن ریاء ہے۔
Hazrat Hassan se riwayat hai keh Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya keh Walima pehle din haq hai, doosre din neki hai aur teesre din riya hai.
الْأَحْمَرُ ، عَنْ عَوْفٍ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، قَالَ : بَلَغَنِي أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ ، قَالَ : « الْوَلِيمَةُ أَوَّلُ يَوْمٍ حَقٌّ وَالثَّانِيَ مَعْرُوفٌ وَالثَّالِثَ رِيَاءٌ »
