Chapter: What Has Been Related About The Time For The Last Isha Prayer

باب مَا جَاءَ فِي وَقْتِ صَلاَةِ الْعِشَاءِ الآخِرَةِ ‏ ‏

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 165

An-Nu'man bin Bashir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) said : 'I am the most knowledgeable among the people about the prescribed time of this (Isha) prayer. Allah's Apostle ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) would pray it when the moon set on the third (of the month).'

نعمان بن بشیر رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ اس نماز عشاء کے وقت کو لوگوں میں سب سے زیادہ میں جانتا ہوں، رسول اللہ صلی الله علیہ وسلم اسے تیسری تاریخ کا چاند ڈوبنے کے وقت پڑھتے تھے ۔

Na'maan bin Bashir ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a kehte hain ke is namaz-e-ishaa ke waqt ko logon mein sab se zyada main jaanta hoon, rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ise teesri tareekh ka chaand dubne ke waqt padhte the

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّوَارِبِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ، عَنْ بَشِيرِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنَا أَعْلَمُ النَّاسِ بِوَقْتِ هَذِهِ الصَّلَاةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّيهَا لِسُقُوطِ الْقَمَرِ لِثَالِثَةٍ .

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 166

An-Nu'man bin Bashir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated a similar narration (from another chain linking to) this chain. Imam Tirmidhi said this Hadith was related by Hushaim from Abu Bishr, from Habib bin Salim, from An-Numan bin Bashir and he did not mention Bashir bin Thabit in it. The Hadith of Abu Awanah is the most correct in our view because Yazid bin Harun reported it from Shubah, from Abu Bishr and it is similar to the narration of Abu Awanah.

اس طریق سے بھی ابو عوانہ سے اسی سند سے اسی طرح مروی ہے۔ امام ترمذی نے پہلے ابو عوانہ کا طریق ذکر کیا پھر ہشیم کے طریق کا اور فرمایا: ابو عوانہ والی حدیث ہمارے نزدیک زیادہ صحیح ہے۔

is tariqe se bhi abu uwaana se isi sand se isi tarah marwi hai. imam tirmidhi ne pehle abu uwaana ka tariq zikr kiya phir hishim ke tariq ka aur farmaya: abu uwaana wali hadees hamare nazdeek zyada sahih hai.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، عَنْ أَبِي عَوَانَةَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ نَحْوَهُ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ رَوَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ هُشَيْمٌ عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ فِيهِ هُشَيْمٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ بَشِيرِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَحَدِيثُ أَبِي عَوَانَةَ أَصَحُّ عِنْدَنَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لِأَنَّ يَزِيدَ بْنَ هَارُونَ رَوَى عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ نَحْوَ رِوَايَةِ أَبِي عَوَانَةَ.
