Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2263
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) came across some people who were sitting, so he said, 'shall I not inform you of the best of you from your worst?' On this, they became silent, so he said that three times, then a man said, 'of course, O Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم). Inform us of the best among us from our worst.' He said, 'the best of you is the one whose goodness is hoped for, and people are safe from his evil. And the worst of you is he whose goodness is not hoped for, and people are not safe from his evil.' Imam Tirmidhi said, this Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ کچھ بیٹھے ہوئے لوگوں کے پاس آ کر ٹھہرے اور فرمایا: ”کیا میں تمہارے اچھے لوگوں کو تمہارے برے لوگوں میں سے نہ بتا دوں؟“ لوگ خاموش رہے، آپ نے تین مرتبہ یہی فرمایا، ایک آدمی نے کہا: اللہ کے رسول! کیوں نہیں؟ آپ ہمارے اچھے لوگوں کو برے لوگوں میں سے بتا دیجئیے، آپ نے فرمایا: ”تم میں بہتر وہ ہے جس سے خیر کی امید رکھی جائے اور جس کے شر سے مامون ( بےخوف ) رہا جائے اور تم میں سے برا وہ ہے جس سے خیر کی امید نہ رکھی جائے اور جس کے شر سے مامون ( بےخوف ) نہ رہا جائے“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے۔
Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se Riwayat hai ke Rasool Allah SALLALLAHU ALAIHI WASALLAM kuchh baithe hue logo ke pas aa kar thahere aur farmaya: “Kya main tumhare ache logo ko tumhare bure logo mein se nah bata doon?” Log khamosh rahe, Aap ne teen martaba yeh hi farmaya, ek aadmi ne kaha: Allah ke Rasool! kyon nahin? Aap hamare ache logo ko bure logo mein se bata dijaye, Aap ne farmaya: “Tum mein behtar woh hai jis se khair ki umeed rakhi jae aur jis ke shar se mamun ( bekhouf ) raha jae aur tum mein se bura woh hai jis se khair ki umeed nah rakhi jae aur jis ke shar se mamun ( bekhouf ) nah raha jae”. Imam Tirmizi kehte hain: yeh hadees hasan sahih hai.
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَفَ عَلَى أُنَاسٍ جُلُوسٍ، فَقَالَ: أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِخَيْرِكُمْ مِنْ شَرِّكُمْ ؟ قَالَ: فَسَكَتُوا، فَقَالَ ذَلِكَ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ: بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، أَخْبِرْنَا بِخَيْرِنَا مِنْ شَرِّنَا، قَالَ: خَيْرُكُمْ مَنْ يُرْجَى خَيْرُهُ وَيُؤْمَنُ شَرُّهُ، وَشَرُّكُمْ مَنْ لَا يُرْجَى خَيْرُهُ وَلَا يُؤْمَنُ شَرُّهُ ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.
