Jami` at-Tirmidhi 228
Abdullah (Ibn Masud) narrated that : the Prophet said: Let those among you with understanding and reason be close to me, then those after them, then those after them. And do not separate or dissention will occur among your hearts, and beware of the commotion of the markets. Imam Tirmidhi says: 1- The hadith of Ibn Mas'ud, may Allah be pleased with him, is hasan sahih gharib. 2- In this chapter, there are also hadiths from Ubayy bin Ka'b, Abu Mas'ud, Abu Sa'id, Bara', and Anas, may Allah be pleased with them. 3- It is narrated from the Prophet, peace be upon him, that he was pleased that the Muhajirin and the Ansar lived close to each other so that they could preserve what they had learned from him.

عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی اکرم ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”تم میں سے جو صاحب فہم و ذکا اور سمجھدار ہوں ان کو مجھ سے قریب رہنا چاہیئے، پھر وہ جو ( عقل و دانش میں ) ان کے قریب ہوں، پھر وہ جو ان کے قریب ہوں، تم آگے پیچھے نہ ہونا کہ تمہارے دلوں میں پھوٹ پڑ جائے گی، اور اپنے آپ کو بازار کے شور و غوغا سے بچائے رکھنا“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- ابن مسعود رضی الله عنہ کی حدیث حسن صحیح غریب ہے، ۲- اس باب میں ابی بن کعب، ابومسعود، ابوسعید، براء، اور انس رضی الله عنہم سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں، ۳- نبی اکرم ﷺ سے مروی ہے کہ آپ اس بات سے خوش ہوتے کہ مہاجرین اور انصار آپس میں قریب قریب رہیں تاکہ وہ آپ سے ( سیکھے ہوئے مسائل ) محفوظ رکھ سکیں۔
“`Abd-al-Llah bin Mas'ud radiy-Allahu `anhu se riwayat hai ke Nabi-e-Akram sall-Allahu `alayhi wa sallam ne farmaya: “Tum mein se jo Sahib fahim wa zika aur samjhdar hon in ko mujh se qareeb rehna chahiye, phir woh jo ( `aql wa danesh mein ) in ke qareeb hon, phir woh jo in ke qareeb hon, tum aage peeche na hona ke tumhare dilon mein phoot pad jayegi, aur apne aap ko bazaar ke shor wa ghuga se bachaye rakhna”. Imam Tirmidhi kehte hain: 1. Ibn Mas'ud radiy-Allahu `anhu ki hadees hasan sahih gharib hai, 2. is bab mein Abi bin Ka'ab, Abu Mas'ud, Abu Sa'id, Bara', aur Anas radiy-Allahu `anhu se bhi ahadees aayi hain, 3. Nabi-e-Akram sall-Allahu `alayhi wa sallam se marwi hai ke aap is baat se khush hote the ke muhajireen aur ansar aapas mein qareeb qareeb rahen takke woh aap se ( seekhe hue masail ) mahfuz rakh saken.
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ، عَنْ أَبِي مَعْشَرٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: لِيَلِيَنِّي مِنْكُمْ أُولُو الْأَحْلَامِ وَالنُّهَى ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ، وَلَا تَخْتَلِفُوا فَتَخْتَلِفَ قُلُوبُكُمْ، وَإِيَّاكُمْ وَهَيْشَاتِ الْأَسْوَاقِ . قَالَ: وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ، وأَبِي مَسْعُودٍ، وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ، والْبَرَاءِ، وأَنَسٍ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: حَدِيثُ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ، وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُعْجِبُهُ أَنْ يَلِيَهُ الْمُهَاجِرُونَ وَالْأَنْصَارُ لِيَحْفَظُوا عَنْهُ ، قَالَ: وَخَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ هُوَ خَالِدُ بْنُ مِهْرَانَ يُكْنَى أَبَا الْمُنَازِلِ، قَالَ: وسَمِعْت مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ إِسْمَاعِيل، يَقُولُ: يُقَالُ إِنَّ خَالِدًا الْحَذَّاءَ مَا حَذَا نَعْلًا قَطُّ إِنَّمَا كَانَ يَجْلِسُ إِلَى حَذَّاءٍ فَنُسِبَ إِلَيْهِ، قَالَ: وَأَبُو مَعْشَرٍ اسْمُهُ: زِيَادُ بْنُ كُلَيْبٍ.
