Abu Hurairah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, Iman has over seventy branches, the most excellent of which is the declaration that there is no god but Allah, and the humblest of which is the removal of a bone from the road. And modesty is a branch of Iman.

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ایمان کی ستر سے کچھ زیادہ شاخیں ہیں، ان میں سب سے افضل لا إله إلا الله کہنا، اور سب سے کم تر راستے سے ہڈی ہٹانا ہے ۲؎، اور حیاء ایمان کی ایک شاخ ہے ۳؎ ۔
Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kahte hain ke Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Iman ki satar se kuchh zyada shakhan hain, in mein sab se afzal La ilaha illallah kahna, aur sab se kam tar raste se haddi hatana hai, aur haya iman ki ek shakh hai.
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُهَيْلُ بْنُ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: الْإِيمَانُ بِضْعٌ وَسَبْعُونَ، أَفْضَلُهَا قَوْلُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ، وَأَدْنَاهَا إِمَاطَةُ الْعَظْمِ عَنِ الطَّرِيقِ، وَالْحَيَاءُ شُعْبَةٌ مِنَ الْإِيمَانِ .
