Sunan Abi Dawud 4610
Amir bin sa’id narrated, his father reported that the Apostle of Allah (صلى هللا عليه و آله وسلم) said, ‘the worst criminal among the Muslims is the one who asks about something that was not forbidden, but it becomes forbidden to the people because of his asking.

سعد بن ابی وقاص رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: مسلمانوں کے حق میں سب سے بڑا مجرم وہ مسلمان ہے جو ایسی چیز کے بارے میں سوال کرے جو حرام نہیں کی گئی تھی لیکن اس کے سوال کرنے کی وجہ سے مسلمانوں پر حرام کر دی گئی۱؎ ۔
Saad bin Abi Waqas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Musalmanon ke haq mein sab se bara mujrim woh musalman hai jo aisi cheez ke bare mein sawal kare jo haram nahin ki gayi thi lekin is ke sawal karne ki wajah se musalmanon par haram kar di gayi
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: إِنَّ أَعْظَمَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ فِي الْمُسْلِمِينَ جُرْمًا مَنْ سَأَلَ عَنْ أَمْرٍ لَمْ يُحَرَّمْ فَحُرِّمَ عَلَى النَّاسِ مِنْ أَجْلِ مَسْأَلَتِهِ .
