Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 1078
'Abdullah ibn Busr, the Companion of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said that when the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, came to a door when he wanted to ask permission to enter, he did not face it directly. He stood to the right or the left. If he was given permission, he went in. Otherwise he went away.

نبی ﷺ کے صحابی سیدنا عبداللہ بن بسر رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی ﷺ جب کسی کے دروازے پر اس سے اجازت لینے کے لیے تشریف لاتے تو سامنے کھڑے نہ ہوتے بلکہ دائیں، بائیں کھڑے ہوتے۔ اگر اجازت مل جاتی تو ٹھیک ورنہ واپس تشریف لے جاتے۔
Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sahabi Sayyidina Abdullah bin Basr (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se riwayat hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) jab kisi ke darwaze par us se ijazat lene ke liye tashrif late to samne kharay na hote balki dayen, bayen kharay hote. Agar ijazat mil jati to theek warna wapas tashrif le jate.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْيَحْصِبِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ بُسْرٍ، صَاحِبُ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ إِذَا أَتَى بَابًا يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَسْتَأْذِنَ لَمْ يَسْتَقْبِلْهُ، جَاءَ يَمِينًا وَشِمَالاً، فَإِنْ أُذِنَ لَهُ وَإِلا انْصَرَفَ.
