Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 335
Ibrahim at-Taymi reported that his father said, "We were sitting with 'Umar and one man praised another man to his face." He said, "You have wounded the man. May Allah wound you."

یزید بن شریک تیمی سے روایت ہے کہ ہم سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ کی مجلس میں تھے کہ ایک آدمی نے دوسرے آدمی کی موجودگی میں تعریف کی تو سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا:تونے اس آدمی کو ہلاک کر دیا اللہ تجھے ہلاک کرے۔
Yazid bin sharik tami se riwayat hai keh hum sayyadina umar razi Allah anhu ki majlis mein thay keh aik aadmi ne dosre aadmi ki mojoodgi mein tareef ki to sayyadina umar razi Allah anhu ne farmaya: tune is aadmi ko halaak kar diya Allah tujhe halaak kare.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا قَبِيصَةُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: كُنَّا جُلُوسًا عِنْدَ عُمَرَ، فَأَثْنَى رَجُلٌ عَلَى رَجُلٍ فِي وَجْهِهِ، فَقَالَ: عَقَرْتَ الرَّجُلَ، عَقَرَكَ اللَّهُ.
