It is narrated on the authority of Sinan bin Sina (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The one who eats food and expresses gratitude (to Allah) is like the one who fasts and remains patient."

حضرت سنان بن سنہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا کھا کر شکر کرنے والا اجر وثواب میں روزہ رکھ کر صبر کرنے والے کی طرح ہے۔
Hazrat Sanan bin Sina RA se marvi hai keh Nabi Kareem SAW ne irshad farmaya khana kha kar shukar karne wala ajr o sawab mein roza rakh kar sabar karne wale ki tarah hai.

Harmalah bin Amr says that I attended Hajj-e-Akbar behind my uncle Sinan bin Sanah (may Allah be pleased with him) When we stood in the field of Arafat, I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) keeping his finger on the other. I asked my uncle what the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was saying. He said that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is saying that the pebbles of stoning should be done properly on the day of Jamarat, and the pebbles should be thrown like this.

حرملہ بن عمرو کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے حجۃ الوداع کے موقع پر اپنے چچا حضرت سنان بن سنہ رضی اللہ عنہ کے پیچھے بیٹھ کر شرکت کی تھی جب ہم نے میدان عرفات میں وقوف کیا تو میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ کو دیکھا کہ آپ ﷺ نے اپنی انگلی دوسری پر رکھی ہوئی ہے میں نے چچا سے پوچھا کہ نبی کریم ﷺ کیا فرما رہے ہیں؟ انہوں نے بتایا کہ نبی کریم ﷺ فرما رہے ہیں کہ جمرات کو ٹھیکری کی کنکریاں مارنایا اس جیسی کنکریاں مارنا۔
Harmalah bin Amro kehte hain keh maine Hajjat al-Wida ke mauqe par apne chacha Hazrat Sinan bin Sinah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ke peeche baith kar shirkat ki thi jab humne maidan Arafat mein waquf kiya to maine Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko dekha keh Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne apni ungli dusri par rakhi hui hai maine chacha se poocha keh Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) kya farma rahe hain? Unhon ne bataya keh Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) farma rahe hain keh Jumrat ko thekri ki kankriyan marna is jaisi kankriyan marna.
