It is narrated on the authority of Yazid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were with the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and we reached Jannat al-Baqi. There we saw a new grave. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked, "Whose grave is this?" People said, "It is the grave of so-and-so woman." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) recognized her and said, "Why didn't you tell me about her?" People submitted, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! You were fasting and taking a nap. We did not consider it appropriate to bother you." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Don't do this. As long as I am among you, you must inform me about those who die among you, because my offering the funeral prayer for them is a source of mercy for them." Then the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) approached her grave and we lined up behind him. And the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said four Takbeers over her.

حضرت یزید بن ثابت رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ ہم لوگ نبی کریم ﷺ کے ساتھ نکلے جنت البقیع میں پہنچے تو وہاں ایک نئی قبر نظر آئی نبی کے پوچھا کہ یہ کس کی قبر ہے؟ لوگوں نے بتایا کہ فلاں عورت کی، نبی کریم ﷺ نے اسے پہچان گئے اور فرمایا تم نے اس کے متعلق مجھے کیوں نہیں بتایا؟ لوگوں نے عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ ﷺ ! آپ روزے کی حالت میں تھے اور قیلولہ فرما رہے تھے ہم نے آپ کو تنگ کرنا مناسب نہ سمجھا نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا ایسا نہ کیا کرو، میں جب تک تم میں موجود ہوں تو مجھے اپنے درمیان فوت ہونے والوں کی اطلاع ضرور دیا کرو کیونکہ میرا اس کی نماز جنازہ پڑھانا اس کے لئے باعث رحمت ہے پھر نبی کریم ﷺ اس کی قبر کے قریب پہنچنے ہم پیچھے صف بندی کی اور نبی کریم ﷺ نے اس پر چار تکبیرات کہیں۔
Hazrat Yazeed bin Sabit (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki ek martaba hum log Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath nikle Jannat ul Baqi mein pahunche to wahan ek nayi qabar nazar aai Nabi ne pucha ki yeh kiski qabar hai? Logon ne bataya ki falan aurat ki, Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne use pehchan gaye aur farmaya tum ne iske mutalliq mujhe kyun nahi bataya? Logon ne arz kiya Ya Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)! Aap rozy ki halat mein the aur qailaula farma rahe the hum ne aap ko tang karna munasib na samjha Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya aisa na kiya karo, mein jab tak tum mein mojood hun to mujhe apne darmiyan faut hone walon ki ittila zaroor diya karo kyunki mera iski namaz janaza padhana iske liye baais rehmat hai phir Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) iski qabar ke qareeb pahunche hum peeche saf bandi ki aur Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne is par chaar takbeerat kahin.
حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ ، عَنْ خَارِجَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ ، قَالَ: خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَلَمَّا وَرَدْنَا الْبَقِيعَ، إِذَا هُوَ بِقَبْرٍ جَدِيدٍ، فَسَأَلَ عَنْهُ، فَقِيلَ: فُلَانَةُ، فَعَرَفَهَا، فَقَالَ:" أَلَا آذَنْتُمُونِي بِهَا؟" قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، كُنْتَ قَائِلًا صَائِمًا، فَكَرِهْنَا أَنْ نُؤْذِنَكَ، فَقَالَ:" لَا تَفْعَلُوا، لَا يَمُوتَنَّ فِيكُمْ مَيِّتٌ مَا كُنْتُ بَيْنَ أَظْهُرِكُمْ إِلَا آذَنْتُمُونِي بِهِ، فَإِنَّ صَلَاتِي عَلَيْهِ لَهُ رَحْمَةٌ"، قَالَ: ثُمَّ أَتَى الْقَبْرَ، فَصَفَّنَا خَلْفَهُ، وَكَبَّرَ عَلَيْهِ أَرْبَعًا .
