Mahmud bin Rabia (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that he remembered the sip which the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) took, and the water was drawn from his well (for this).

حضرت محمود بن ربیع رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ انہیں وہ کلی یاد ہے جو نبی کریم ﷺ نے ان پر کی تھی اور پانی اس ڈول سے لیا تھا جو ان کے کنوئیں سے نکالا گیا تھا۔
Hazrat Mahmood bin Rabia Radi Allaho Anho se marvi hai ki unhen wo kali yaad hai jo Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam ne un par ki thi aur pani us dol se liya tha jo un ke kunwen se nikala gaya tha.
It is narrated on the authority of Mahmud bin Lubayd (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of the Battle of Uhud, the Muslims' swords fell upon Huzayfah's (may Allah be pleased with him) father, Yaman (may Allah be pleased with him). The Muslims could not recognize him and martyred him. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) wanted to pay his blood money, but Huzayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) gave that blood money in charity to the Muslims themselves.

حضرت محمود بن لبید رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ غزوہ احد کے دن حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ کے والد حضرت یمان رضی اللہ عنہ پر مسلمانوں کی تلواریں پڑنے لگیں مسلمان انہیں پہچان نہ سکے اور انہیں قتل کردیا نبی کریم ﷺ نے ان کی دیت ادا کرنا چاہی تو حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے وہ دیت مسلمانوں پر ہی صدقہ کردی۔
Hazrat Mahmood bin Labeed Raziallahu Anhu se marvi hai ki ghazwa e uhud ke din Hazrat Huzaifa Raziallahu Anhu ke walid Hazrat Yaaman Raziallahu Anhu par muslimon ki talwarein parne lagi musalman unhen pehchan na sake aur unhen qatal kardiya Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne unki diyat ada karna chaha to Hazrat Huzaifa Raziallahu Anhu ne wo diyat musalmano par hi sadqa kardi.
Narrated by Mahmud bin Lubayd (may Allah be pleased with him) that when Surah Takasur was revealed and the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) recited it, when he reached the verse "Then surely you will be questioned that Day about the delights", the people asked, "O Messenger of Allah! About which delights will we be questioned? We only have water and dates, our swords are on our necks, and the enemy is in front of us, so about which delights will we be questioned?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "It will be about this..."

حضرت محمود بن لبید رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ سورت تکاثر نازل ہوئی اور نبی کریم ﷺ نے اسے پڑھ کر سنایا تو جب " ثم لتسألن یومئذ عن النعیم " پر پہنچے تو لوگوں نے پوچھا یا رسول اللہ! ہم سے کن نعمتوں کے متعلق پوچھا جائے گا؟ ہمارے پاس تو صرف پانی اور کھجوریں ہیں ہماری تلواریں ہماری گردنوں پر ہیں اور دشمن سامنے موجود ہے تو کون سی نعمتوں کے متعلق ہم سے پوچھا جائے گا؟ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا یہ ہو کر رہے گا۔
Hazrat Mahmood bin Labeed RA se marvi hai ke Surah Takasur nazil hui aur Nabi Kareem SAW ne isse parh kar sunaya to jab "summa latus'alunna yawma'izin 'anin na'eem" par pahunche to logon ne poocha Ya Rasulullah! hum se kin naimaton ke mutalliq poocha jaye ga? humare pass to sirf pani aur khajoorein hain hamari talwarein hamari gardanon par hain aur dushman samne mojood hai to kon si naimaton ke mutalliq hum se poocha jaye ga? Nabi Kareem SAW ne farmaya ye ho kar rahe ga.
Mahmood bin Lubayd (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "When Allah loves a people, He puts them to trial. Whoever is patient will attain patience, and whoever panics will get his panic."

حضرت محمود بن لبید رضی اللہ عنہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا کہ اللہ تعالیٰ جب کسی قوم سے محبت کرتا ہے تو انہیں آزمائش میں مبتلا کرتا ہے پھر جو شخص صبر کرتا ہے اسے صبر ملتا ہے اور جو شخص جزع فزع کرتا ہے اس کے لئے جزع فزع ہے۔
Hazrat Mahmood bin Labeed Razi Allah Anhu Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya keh Allah Taala jab kisi qaum se mohabbat karta hai to unhen azmaish mein مبتلا karta hai phir jo shakhs sabr karta hai usay sabr milta hai aur jo shakhs jaza faza karta hai uske liye jaza faza hai.
