It is narrated by Salamah bin Sakhr (RA) that I was very fond of women and I don't know of any man who used to keep company with women as much as I did. Well, Ramadan came and I swore to my wife that I would not go near her until the end of Ramadan, even at night. I kept doing this until the day came, and I did not have the strength to separate from her completely. One night my wife was serving me when her thigh was exposed, and I sat down to be intimate with her. When morning came, I went to the people and told them to ask the Prophet (PBUH) about this matter on my behalf. They said, "We will not ask, lest a verse be revealed about us that will remain until the Day of Judgment, or the Prophet (PBUH) may say something (in anger) and its shame will remain with us forever. But now you go yourself and do whatever you deem appropriate.” So I went out and presented myself before the Prophet (PBUH) and narrated the whole incident. The Prophet (PBUH) asked three times: "Have you done this?" I said: "Yes! And I am ready, O Messenger of Allah!! And I will be patient on the command of Allah Almighty that is revealed about me.” You said: "Then free a slave." I said, "By the One who has sent you with the truth, I am only the owner of my own soul." You said: "Well! Observe fasts for two consecutive months." I submitted: "O Messenger of Allah!! This affliction that has befallen me came from fasting itself." You said: "Then give charity and feed sixty poor people." I said, "By the One who has sent you with the truth, we were hungry that night too, we had no food for the night." You said: "Go to the one who is responsible for the charity of Bani Zuraiq and tell him to give you whatever wealth he has, and feed sixty poor people from it, and whatever is left, use it for yourself." So when I returned to my people, I said to them, "I have received hardship and ill opinion from you, and ease and blessings from the Prophet (PBUH). The Prophet (PBUH) has ordered me to give charity from yours, so hand it over to me." So they gave it to me.

سیدنا سلمہ بن صخر رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ میں عورتوں کو بہت چاہتا تھا اور میں کسی مرد کو نہیں جانتا جو عورتوں سے اتنی صحبت کرتا ہو، جیسے میں کرتا تھا۔ خیر رمضان آیا تو میں نے اپنی بیوی سے ظہار کر لیا، اخیر رمضان تک تاکہ رات کے وقت اس کے قریب نہ چلا جاؤں، دن ہو نے تک میں اسی طرح کرتا تھا اور اپنے اندر اتنی طاقت نہ پاتا تھا کہ اس سے مکمل جدا ہو جاؤں، ایک رات میری بیوی میری خدمت کر رہی تھی کہ اس کی ران سے کپڑا اوپر ہو گیا، میں اس سے صحبت کر بیٹھا۔ جب صبح ہوئی تو لوگوں کے پاس گیا اور ان سے بیان کیا کہ میرے لئے یہ مسئلہ تم آنسیدنا سے دریافت کر و۔ انہوں نے کہا ہم تو نہیں پوچھیں گے ایسا نہ ہو کہ ہمارے متعلق کتاب نازل جو تاقیامت باقی رہے یا نبی ﷺ کچھ (غصہ) فرما دیں اور اس کی شرمندگی تاعمر ہمیں باقی رے لیکن اب تم خود ہی جاؤ اور جو مناسب سمجھو کر و، چنانچہ میں وہاں سے نکلا اور نبی ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہو کر سارا واقعہ بیان کر دیا، نبی ﷺ نے تین مرتبہ فرمایا: یہ کام کیا ہے؟ میں نے عرض کیا: جی ہاں! اور میں حاضر ہوں یا رسول اللہ!! اور میں اللہ عزوجل کے حکم پر صابر رہوں گا جو میرے بارے میں اترے، آپ نے فرمایا: تو ایک غلام آزاد کر، میں نے کہا قسم اس کی جس نے آپ کو سچائی کے ساتھ بھیجا، میں تو بس اپنے ہی نفس کا مالک ہوں، آپ نے فرمایا: اچھا! دو ماہ لگاتار روزے رکھ، میں نے عرض کیا:، یا رسول اللہ!! یہ جو بلا مجھ پر آئی یہ روزہ رکھنے ہی سے تو آئی، آپ نے فرمایا: تو صدقہ دے اور ساٹھ مساکین کو کھانا کھلا، میں نے کہا قسم اس کی جس نے آپ کو سچائی کے ساتھ بھیجا ہم تو اس رات بھی فاقے سے تھے، ہمارے پاس رات کا کھانا نہ تھا، آپ نے فرمایا: بنی زریق کے صدقات کے ذمے دار کے پاس جا اور اس سے کہ وہ تجھے جو مال دے اس میں سے ساٹھ مساکین کو کھلا اور جو بچے اسے اپنے استعمال میں لا، چنانچہ میں اپنی قوم میں جب واپس آیا تو ان سے کہا کہ مجھے تمہارے پاس سے تنگی اور بری رائے ملی اور نبی ﷺ کے یہاں کشادگی اور برکت، نبی ﷺ نے میرے تمہارے صدقات کا حکم دیا ہے لہذا وہ میرے حوالے کر و، چنانچہ انہوں نے وہ مجھے دے دیئے۔
Sayyidna Salma bin Sakhr (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki main auraton ko bahut chahta tha aur main kisi mard ko nahin janta jo auraton se itni suhbat karta ho, jaise main karta tha. Khair Ramzan aaya to main ne apni biwi se zihar kar liya, akhir Ramzan tak taake raat ke waqt uske qareeb na chala jaon, din hone tak main isi tarah karta tha aur apne andar itni taqat na pata tha ki us se mukammal juda ho jaon, ek raat meri biwi meri khidmat kar rahi thi ki uski ran se kapda upar ho gaya, main us se suhbat kar baitha. Jab subah hui to logon ke pass gaya aur unse bayan kiya ki mere liye yeh masla tum Aansidna se daryaft kar lo. Unhon ne kaha hum to nahin poochhenge aisa na ho ki humare mutalliq kitab nazil jo taqayamat baqi rahe ya Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) kuchh (ghussa) farma den aur uski sharmindagi ta-umar hamen baqi rahe lekin ab tum khud hi jao aur jo munasib samjho kar lo, chunancha main wahan se nikla aur Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki khidmat mein hazir ho kar sara waqea bayan kar diya, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne teen martaba farmaya: Yeh kaam kiya hai? Main ne arz kiya: Ji haan! Aur main hazir hun ya Rasulullah!! Aur main Allah Azzawajal ke hukum par sabir rahunga jo mere baare mein utre, Aap ne farmaya: To ek ghulam azad kar, main ne kaha qasam uski jisne Aap ko sachai ke sath bheja, main to bas apne hi nafs ka malik hun, Aap ne farmaya: Achcha! Do mah lagatar roze rakh, main ne arz kiya:, Ya Rasulullah!! Yeh jo bala mujh par aayi yeh roza rakhne hi se to aayi, Aap ne farmaya: To sadqa de aur sath miskeen ko khana khila, main ne kaha qasam uski jisne Aap ko sachai ke sath bheja hum to us raat bhi faqe se the, humare pass raat ka khana na tha, Aap ne farmaya: Bani Zareeq ke sadqat ke zimme daar ke pass ja aur us se keh woh tujhe jo maal de us mein se sath miskeen ko khila aur jo bache use apne istemal mein la, chunancha main apni qaum mein jab wapas aaya to un se kaha ki mujhe tumhare pass se tangi aur buri raaye mili aur Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke yahan kishadagi aur barkat, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne mere tumhare sadqat ka hukum diya hai lihaza woh mere hawale kar lo, chunancha unhon ne woh mujhe de diye.
