Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 10241
Narrated by Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Every child is born on the Fitra (natural instinct), then his parents make him a Jew, a Christian or a polytheist." Someone asked, "O Messenger of Allah! What is the ruling about the children who die before that?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Allah knows best what they would have done if they had lived."

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا ہر بچہ فطرت سلیمہ پر پیدا ہوتا ہے بعد میں اس کے والدین یہودی عیسائی یا مشرک بنا دیتے ہیں کسی نے پوچھا یا رسول اللہ ﷺ یہ بتائیے کہ جو بچے پہلے ہی مرجائیں ان کا کیا حکم ہے؟ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا اللہ زیادہ بہتر جانتا ہے کہ وہ بڑے ہو کر کیا کرتے؟
Hazrat Abu Hurairah RA se marvi hai keh Nabi Kareem SAW ne farmaya har bachcha fitrat salima par paida hota hai bad mein uske waldain yahodi esai ya mushrik bana dete hain kisi ne poocha Ya Rasulullah SAW yeh bataiye keh jo bache pehle hi marjain unka kya hukum hai Nabi Kareem SAW ne farmaya Allah zyada behtar janta hai keh woh bare ho kar kya karte.
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، قََالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ: قََالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَا مِنْ مَوْلُودٍ يُولَدُ إِلَّا عَلَى الْمِلَّةِ"، وَقَالَ مَرَّةً: كُلُّ مَوْلُودٍ يُولَدُ عَلَى الْفِطْرَةِ، فَأَبَوَاهُ يُهَوِّدَانِهِ وَيُنَصِّرَانِهِ وَيُشْرِكَانِهِ" قِيلَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، أَرَأَيْتَ مَنْ مَاتَ قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ؟ قَالَ: " اللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا كَانُوا عَامِلِينَ".
