Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 10321
Narrated Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "There is no 'Adwa (transmission of a disease by itself) but there is At-Tiyarah (belief that something is a bad omen) and At-Tiyarah is only in three things: the horse, the woman, and the house." (The sub-narrator added: "and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) disapproved the (belief in the) owl (as a bad omen) and considered it as nonsense."). The best omen is the good one, and the evil eye is real.

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا کوئی بیماری متعدی نہیں ہوتی اور الو (کو منحوس سمجھنے کی) کوئی حقیقت نہیں بہترین شگون فال ہے اور نظر لگنا برحق ہے۔
Hazrat Abu Huraira (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai keh Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya koi bimari mutaadi nahi hoti aur ulu (ko manhoos samjhne ki) koi haqeeqat nahi behtarin shagun fal hai aur nazar lagna barhaq hai.
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، قََالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ الْجُرَيْرِيُّ ، عَنْ مُضَارِبِ بْنِ حَزْنٍ ، قََالَ: قُلْتُ يَعْنِي لِأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ : هَلْ سَمِعْتَ مِنْ خَلِيلِكَ شَيْئًا تُحَدِّثُنِيهِ؟ قََالَ: نَعَمْ، سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَا عَدْوَى وَلَا هَامَةَ وَخَيْرُ الطِّيَرِ الْفَأْلُ، وَالْعَيْنُ حَقٌّ" .
