Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 10424
It is narrated by Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Do not fast on Friday alone, but combine it with a fast on the day before or the day after it."

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا صرف جمعہ کے دن کا روزہ نہ رکھا کرو الاّ یہ کہ اس کے ساتھ پہلے یا بعد کا ایک روزہ بھی ملا لو۔
Hazrat Abu Huraira razi Allah anhu se marvi hai keh Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya sirf jumma ke din ka roza na rakha karo illa ye keh iske sath pehle ya bad ka ek roza bhi mila lo.
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، قََالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَا تَصُومُوا يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ، إِلَّا وَقَبْلَهُ يَوْمٌ، أَوْ بَعْدَهُ يَوْمٌ" .
