Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 10594
Narrated Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him): The rat is a transformed nation and its sign is that if camel milk is placed before it, it will not drink it, and if goat milk is placed before it, it will drink it. Ka’b al-Ahbar (a Jewish scholar who embraced Islam) said: Did you hear this Hadith from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) yourself? I said: Was the Torah revealed to me?

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ چوہا ایک مسخ شدہ قوم ہے اور اس کی علامت یہ ہے کہ اگر اس کے سامنے اونٹ کا دودھ رکھا جائے تو وہ اسے نہیں پیتا اور اگر بکری کا دودھ رکھا جائے تو وہ اسے پی لیتا ہے۔ کعب احبار رحمہ اللہ (جو نومسلم یہودی عالم تھے) کہنے لگے کہ کیا یہ حدیث آپ نے خود نبی کریم ﷺ سے سنی ہے؟ میں نے کہا کہ کیا مجھ پر تورات نازل ہوئی ہے؟
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki chuha ek masukh shuda qaum hai aur is ki alamat yeh hai ki agar is ke samne unt ka doodh rakha jaye to wo ise nahi peeta aur agar bakri ka doodh rakha jaye to wo ise pee leta hai. Kaab Ahbar rehmatullah alaih (jo non-muslim yahoodi alim thay) kehne lage ki kya yeh hadees aap ne khud Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se suni hai? Maine kaha ki kya mujh par torah nazil hui hai?
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ , أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ , عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ , قََالَ: قََالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ : " الْفَأْرُ مِمَّا مُسِخَ، وَسَأُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِآيَةِ ذَلِكَ إِذَا وُضِعَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهَا لَبَنُ اللِّقَاحِ، لَمْ تُصِبْ مِنْهُ، وَإِذَا وُضِعَ لَبَنُ الْغَنَمِ"، قَالَ: فَقَالَ لَهُ كَعْبٌ: أَقَالَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ قَالَ: فَقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ" أَفأُنْزِلَتْ عَلَيَّ التَّوْرَاةُ؟" .
