Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 10735
Narrated by Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The believer is possessive, and Allah is even more possessive than him. And it is part of Allah's possessiveness that a person should avoid that which Allah has forbidden."

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا مومن غیرت مند ہوتا ہے اور اللہ اس سے بھی زیادہ غیور ہے۔ اور غیرت الٰہی کا یہ حصہ ہے کہ انسان ایسی چیزوں سے اجتناب کرے جنہیں اللہ نے حرام قرار دیا ہے۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah razi Allah anhu se marvi hai ke Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya momin ghairat mand hota hai aur Allah us se bhi zyada ghair hai. Aur ghairat ilahi ka ye hissa hai ke insan aisi cheezon se ijtinab kare jinhen Allah ne haram qarar diya hai.
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ , حَدَّثَنَا حَرْبٌ , وَأَبَانُ , عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ , حَدَّثَنَي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ , أَنْ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَغَارُ , وَإِنَّ الْمُؤْمِنَ يَغَارُ , وَغَيْرَةُ اللَّهِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ الْمُؤْمِنُ مَا حَرَّمَ عَلَيْهِ" .
