Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 10928
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The believer is characterized by modesty and Allah is more Jealous than him. Allah’s jealousy dictates that a person should abstain from those things which Allah has forbidden him.”

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا مومن غیرت مند ہوتا ہے اور اللہ اس سے بھی زیادہ غیور ہے اور غیرت الٰہی کا یہ حصہ ہے کہ انسان ایسی چیزوں سے اجتناب کرے جنہیں اللہ نے اس پر حرام قرار دیا ہے۔
Hazrat Abu Huraira (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai keh Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya momin ghairat mand hota hai aur Allah us se bhi zyada ghayur hai aur ghairat ilahi ka yeh hissa hai keh insan aisi cheezon se ijtinab kare jinhen Allah ne us par haram qarar diya hai.
حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ , حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ , عَنْ يَحْيَى , قََالَ: وَأَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ , أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَغَارُ , وَإِنَّ الْمُؤْمِنَ يَغَارُ , وَغَيْرَةُ اللَّهِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ الْمُؤْمِنُ مَا حَرَّمَ عَلَيْهِ" .
