Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 10964
Yazid bin Asam (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Someone asked Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), “You narrate a great many Hadiths.” He replied, “If I were to start narrating every Hadith that I heard from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), you would start throwing stones at me and would not be able to bear to even look at me.”

یزید بن اصم رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ کسی نے حضرت ابویرہرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے کہا کہ آپ بڑی کثرت سے حدیثیں بیان کرتے ہیں؟ انہوں نے فرمایا کہ اگر میں نبی کریم ﷺ سے سنی ہوئی ہر حدیث بیان کرنا شروع کردوں تو تم مجھ پر چھلکے پھینکنے لگو اور مجھے دیکھنے تک کے روادار نہ رہو۔
Yazid bin Asam rahmatullah alaih kehte hain ki kisi ne Hazrat Abu Hurairah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se kaha ki aap bari kasrat se hadithen bayan karte hain? Unhon ne farmaya ki agar main Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se suni hui har hadees bayan karna shuru kardoon to tum mujh par chhilke phenkne lagoo aur mujhe dekhne tak ke rawadar na raho.
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ , حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرٌ , عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْأَصَمِّ , قََالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ : يَقُولُونَ: " أَكْثَرْتَ أَكْثَرْتَ فَلَوْ حَدَّثْتُكُمْ بِكُلِّ مَا سَمِعْتُ مِنَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، رَمَيْتُمُونِي بِالْقِشَعِ وَمَا نَاظَرْتُمُونِي" .
