Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 10985
It is narrated on the authority of Hadrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that some of the companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) were on a journey. During the journey, they passed by an Arab tribe. The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked the people of the tribe for hospitality, but they refused. Incidentally, one of them lost his mind or was bitten by something poisonous. Those people came to the noble companions (may Allah be pleased with them) and said, "Is there anyone among you who knows how to exorcise?" One of them said, "Yes." And he went to that man and recited Surah Fatiha and blew on him. He recovered. Those people offered them a flock of goats, but they refused to accept it. And they came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and mentioned the whole incident and submitted, "O Messenger of Allah! By Him Who has sent you with the truth, I only recited Surah Fatiha and blew on him." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) smiled and said, "How did you know it was a mantra?" Then he said, "Take the flock of goats and include my share in it."

حضرت ابوسعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ کے کچھ صحابہ رضی اللہ عنہ ایک سفر میں تھے، دورانِ سفر ان کا گذر عرب کے کسی قبیلے پر ہوا، صحابہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے اہل قبیلہ سے مہمان نوازی کی درخواست کی لیکن انہوں نے مہمان نوازی کرنے سے انکار کردیا۔ اتفاقاً ان میں سے ایک آدمی کی عقل زائل ہوگئی یا اسے کسی زہریلی چیز نے ڈس لیا، وہ لوگ صحابہ کرام رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس آکر کہنے لگے کہ کیا آپ میں سے کوئی جھاڑ پھونک کرنا جانتا ہے؟ ان میں سے ایک نے " ہاں " کہہ دیا۔ اور اس آدمی کے پاس جا کر اسے سورت فاتحہ پڑھ کر دم کردیا۔ وہ تندرست ہوگیا، ان لوگوں نے انہیں بکریوں کا ایک ریوڑ پیش کیا لیکن انہوں نے اسے قبول کرنے سے انکار کردیا۔ اور نبی ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہو کر سارا واقعہ ذکر کیا اور عرض کردیا کہ یا رسول اللہ! اس ذات کی قسم جس نے آپ کو حق کے ساتھ بھیجا ہے، میں نے تو صرف سورت فاتحہ پڑھ کر ہی دم کیا تھا۔ اس پر نبی ﷺ نے مسکرا کر فرمایا تمہیں کیسے پتہ چلا کہ وہ منتر ہے؟ پھر فرمایا کہ بکریوں کو وہ ریوڑ لے لو اور اپنے ساتھ اس میں میرا حصہ بھی شامل کرو۔
Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri Razi Allah Anhu se marvi hai ke Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke kuch Sahaba Razi Allah Anhu ek safar mein thay, dauran e safar un ka guzar Arab ke kisi qabeele par hua, Sahaba Razi Allah Anhu ne ahl e qabeele se mehman nawazi ki darkhwast ki lekin unhon ne mehman nawazi karne se inkar kar diya. Ittefaaqan un mein se ek aadmi ki aql zail hogayi ya use kisi zehreli cheez ne dass liya, woh log Sahaba Kiram Razi Allah Anhu ke paas aakar kehne lage ke kya aap mein se koi jhar phoonk karna janta hai? Un mein se ek ne "haan" keh diya. Aur is aadmi ke paas ja kar use Surah Fatiha parh kar dum kar diya. Woh tandarust hogaya, un logon ne unhen bakriyon ka ek rewar pesh kiya lekin unhon ne use qabool karne se inkar kar diya. Aur Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki khidmat mein hazir ho kar sara waqea zikar kiya aur arz kar diya ke Ya Rasulullah! is zaat ki qasam jisne aap ko haq ke sath bheja hai, maine to sirf Surah Fatiha parh kar hi dum kiya tha. Is par Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne muskura kar farmaya tumhen kaise pata chala ke woh mantr hai? Phir farmaya ke bakriyon ko woh rewar le lo aur apne sath is mein mera hissa bhi shamil karo.
حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بِشْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُتَوَكِّلِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، أَنَّ نَاسًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانُوا فِي سَفَرٍ، فَمَرُّوا بِحَيٍّ مِنْ أَحْيَاءِ الْعَرَبِ، فَاسْتَضَافُوهُمْ، فَأَبَوْا أَنْ يُضَيِّفُوهُمْ، فَعَرَضَ لِإِنْسَانٍ مِنْهُمْ فِي عَقْلِهِ أَوْ لُدِغَ، قَالَ: فَقَالُوا لِأَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: هَل فِيكُمْ مِنْ رَاقٍ؟ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنْهُمْ: نَعَمْ، فَأَتَى صَاحِبَهُمْ، فَرَقَاهُ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ، فَبَرَأَ، فَأُعْطِيَ قَطِيعًا مِنْ غَنَمٍ، فَأَبَى أَنْ يَقْبَلَ حَتَّى أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ لَهُ، فَقَال: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، وَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ مَا رَقَيْتُهُ إِلَّا بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ، قَالَ: فَضَحِكَ، وَقَالَ:" مَا يُدْرِيكَ أَنَّهَا رُقْيَةٌ؟"، قَالَ: ثُمَّ قَالَ:" خُذُوا، وَاضْرِبُوا لِي بِسَهْمٍ مَعَكُمْ".
