Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 11125
Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that a person asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), "Who is the best of people?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied, "The believer who strives in the cause of Allah with his wealth and his life." The questioner asked, "Then who?" He said, "The believer who lives in a valley, fears Allah, and protects people from his harm."

حضرت ابوسعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ مروی ہے کہ کسی شخص نے نبی ﷺ سے پوچھا کہ لوگوں میں سب سے بہترین آدمی کون ہے؟ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا وہ مؤمن جو اپنی جان و مال سے راہ اللہ میں جہاد کرے، سائل نے پوچھا اس کے بعد کون ہے؟ فرمایا وہ مؤمن جو کسی بھی محلے میں رہتا ہو اللہ سے ڈرتا ہو اور لوگوں کو اپنی طرف سے تکلیف پہنچنے سے بچاتاہو۔
Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri razi Allah anhu marvi hai keh kisi shakhs ne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se poocha keh logon mein sab se behtarin aadmi kaun hai? Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya woh momin jo apni jaan o maal se rah Allah mein jihad kare, sail ne poocha uske baad kaun hai? Farmaya woh momin jo kisi bhi mohalle mein rehta ho Allah se darta ho aur logon ko apni taraf se takleef pahunchne se bachata ho.
حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ النُّعْمَانَ ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَسُئِلَ أَيُّ النَّاسِ خَيْرٌ، فَقَالَ:" مُؤْمِنٌ مُجَاهِدٌ بِمَالِهِ وَنَفْسِهِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ"، قَالَ: ثُمَّ مَنْ؟، قَالَ:" مُؤْمِنٌ فِي شِعْبٍ مِنَ الشِّعَابِ يَتَّقِي اللَّهَ، وَيَدَعُ النَّاسَ مِنْ شَرِّهِ".
