Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 11178
Abu Sa'eed Khudri, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated that once two men, one from Banu Khadrah and the other from Banu 'Amr bin 'Awf, differed regarding the mosque whose foundation was laid on piety from the first day. 'Umar's opinion was that it was the mosque of Quba, while Khudri's opinion was that it was the mosque of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). They both came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and asked him about it. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) decided the matter by saying, "It refers to my mosque, and there is much good in the mosque of Quba."

حضرت ابوسعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ بنو خدرہ اور بنو عمرو بن عوف کے دو آدمیوں کے درمیان اس مسجد کی تعیین میں اختلاف رائے پیدا ہوگیا، جس کی بنیاد پہلے دن سے ہی تقویٰ پر رکھی گئی، عمری کی رائے مسجد قباء کے متعلق تھی اور خدری کی مسجد نبوی کے متعلق تھی، وہ دونوں نبی ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے اور اس کے متعلق پوچھا تو نبی ﷺ نے فیصلہ کرتے ہوئے فرمایا اس سے مراد میری مسجد ہے اور مسجد قباء میں خیر کثیر ہے
Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri Razi Allah Anhu se marvi hai keh aik martaba Banu Khadra aur Banu Amr bin Auf ke do aadmiyon ke darmiyan is masjid ki tayyin mein ikhtilaf rae paida hogaya, jis ki bunyad pehle din se hi taqwa par rakhi gayi, Umri ki rae Masjid Quba ke mutalliq thi aur Khudri ki Masjid Nabvi ke mutalliq thi, woh donon Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki khidmat mein hazir huye aur iske mutalliq poocha to Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne faisla karte huye farmaya is se murad meri masjid hai aur Masjid Quba mein khair kaseer hai.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ أُنَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي يَحْيَى ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ ، يَقُولُ: اخْتَلَفَ رَجُلَانِ، أَوْ امْتَرَيَا رَجُلٌ مَنْ بَنِي خُدْرَةَ، وَرَجُلٌ مَنْ بَنِي عَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْفٍ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ الَّذِي أُسِّسَ عَلَى التَّقْوَى، قَالَ الْخُدْرِيُّ هُوَ مَسْجِدُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَقَالَ الْعَمْرِيُّ هُوَ مَسْجِدُ قُبَاءَ فَأَتَيَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَسَأَلَاهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ، فَقَالَ:" هُوَ هَذَا الْمَسْجِدُ لِمَسْجِدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" وَقَالَ:" فِي ذَاكَ خَيْرٌ كَثِيرٌ"، يَعْنِي مَسْجِدَ قُبَاءَ.
