Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 11177
It is narrated on the authority of Hadrat Abu Sa'eed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) declared Madinah a sanctuary, forbidding the cutting of trees or stripping them of their leaves between its two lava fields.

حضرت ابوسعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے مدینہ منورہ کے دونوں کنارے کے درمیان درخت کاٹنے سے یا ان کے پتے چھاڑنے سے منع کرتے ہوئے مدینہ منورہ کو حرم قرار دیا ہے
Hazrat Abusaid Khudri (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ke Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Madina Munawwara ke donon kinare ke darmiyan darakht katne se ya un ke patte chharne se mana karte hue Madina Munawwara ko haram qarar diya hai.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَتْنِي زَيْنَبُ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ:" حَرَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا بَيْنَ لَابَتَيْ الْمَدِينَةِ أَنْ يُعْضَدَ شَجَرُهَا أَوْ يُخْبَطَ".
