Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 11460
It is narrated by Tariq bin Shihab that once, on the day of Eid, Marwan began delivering the sermon before the prayer, which was something unheard of. Upon witnessing this, a man stood up and said, "O Marwan! You have acted against the Sunnah." Marwan retorted, "This practice has been abandoned." Present in that gathering was Abu Saeed Khudri, may Allah be pleased with him. He stood up and said, "This man has fulfilled his responsibility. I have heard the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, say, 'Whoever amongst you witnesses an evil, let him change it with his hand. If he is unable to do so, then with his tongue. And if he is unable to do so even with his tongue, then let him despise it in his heart, and that is the weakest form of faith.'"

طارق بن شہاب سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ مروان نے عید کے دن نماز سے پہلے خطبہ دینا شروع کیا جو کہ پہلے کبھی نہیں ہوا تھا، یہ دیکھ کر ایک آدمی کھڑا ہو کر کہنے لگا مروان! تم نے خلافِ سنت کام کیا ہے، اس نے کہا کہ یہ چیز متروک ہوچکی ہے، اس مجلس میں حضرت ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ بھی تھے، انہوں نے کھڑے ہو کر فرمایا اس شخص نے اپنی ذمہ داری پوری کردی، میں نے نبی ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ تم میں سے جو شخص کوئی برائی ہوتے ہوئے دیکھے اور اسے ہاتھ سے بدلنے کی طاقت نہ رکھتا ہو تو ایسا ہی کرے، اگر ہاتھ سے بدلنے کی طاقت نہیں رکھتا تو زبان سے اور اگر زبان سے بھی نہیں کرسکتا تو دل سے اسے برا سمجھے اور یہ ایمان کا سب سے کمزور درجہ ہے۔
Tariq bin Shahab se marvi hai ki ek martaba Marwan ne Eid ke din namaz se pehle khutba dena shuru kiya jo ki pehle kabhi nahi hua tha, ye dekh kar ek aadmi khara ho kar kehne laga Marwan! tum ne khilaf-e-sunnat kaam kiya hai, us ne kaha ki ye cheez matrook ho chuki hai, is majlis mein Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri raziallahu anhu bhi the, unhon ne khade ho kar farmaya is shakhs ne apni zimmedari puri kar di, maine Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko ye farmate huye suna hai ki tum mein se jo shakhs koi burai hote huye dekhe aur use hath se badalne ki taqat na rakhta ho to aisa hi kare, agar hath se badalne ki taqat nahi rakhta to zaban se aur agar zaban se bhi nahi kar sakta to dil se use bura samjhe aur ye imaan ka sab se kamzor darja hai.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ ، عَنْ طَارِقِ بْنِ شِهَابٍ ، قَالَ: أَوَّلُ مَنْ قَدَّمَ الْخُطْبَةَ قَبْلَ الصَّلَاةِ مَرْوَانُ، فَقَامَ رَجُلٌ، فَقَالَ: يَا مَرْوَانُ، خَالَفْتَ السُّنَّةَ , قَالَ: تُرِكَ مَا هُنَاكَ يَا أَبَا فُلَانٍ، فَقَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ : أَمَّا هَذَا فَقَدْ قَضَى مَا عَلَيْهِ، سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ:" مَنْ رَأَى مِنْكُمْ مُنْكَرًا فَلْيُغَيِّرْهُ بِيَدِهِ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ فَبِلِسَانِهِ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ فَبِقَلْبِهِ، وَذَلِكَ أَضْعَفُ الْإِيمَانِ".
