Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 11547
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that once some people of the Ansar (the helpers of Medina) gathered and began to say that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was giving preference to others over them. When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to know of this, he gathered all the Ansar and addressed them, saying, "O group of Ansar! Were you not humiliated, and Allah gave you honor? They said, "Allah and His Messenger have spoken the truth." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Were you not astray, and Allah guided you through me?" They said, "Allah and His Messenger have spoken the truth." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Were you not poor, and Allah made you rich?" They said, "Allah and His Messenger have spoken the truth." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Why don't you bear with me? Do you not say about me that you found me when my own people had abandoned me, and you gave me shelter; you found me fearful, and you gave me peace? Are you not pleased that people should take away cows and goats, while you take away the Prophet of Allah and enter your houses with him? If people were to follow one path and you another, I would choose your path. And if there were no emigration (Hijrah), I would have been one of you Ansar. And you will see preferences after me, so be patient until you meet me at the Hauz-e-Kausar (the Pond of Abundance in Paradise)."

حضرت ابوسعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ کچھ انصاری لوگ جمع ہو کہنے لگے کہ نبی ﷺ ہم پر دوسروں کو ترجیح دینے لگے ہیں، نبی ﷺ کو یہ بات معلوم ہوئی تو آپ ﷺ نے تمام انصار کو جمع کیا اور ان کے سامنے خطبہ دیتے ہوئے ارشاد فرمایا اے گروہ انصار! کیا تم ذلت کا شکار نہ تھے کہ اللہ نے تمہیں عزت عطاء فرمائی؟ انہوں نے کہا اللہ اور اس کے رسول نے سچ فرمایا: پھر نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا کیا تم گمراہی میں نہ پڑے ہوئے تھے کہ اللہ نے تمہیں ہدایت سے سرفراز فرمایا؟ انہوں نے کہا کہ اللہ اور اس کے رسول نے سچ فرمایا: پھر نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا کیا تم تنگدستی کا شکار نہ تھے کہ اللہ نے تمہیں غناء سے سرفراز فرمایا؟ انہوں نے کہا کہ اللہ اور اس کے رسول نے سچ فرمایا: پھر نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا تم میری بات کیوں نہیں مانتے؟ کیا تم میرے متعلق یہ نہیں کہتے کہ آپ ہمارے پاس اس حال میں تھے کہ آپ کو آپ کے اپنوں نے چھوڑ دیا تھا، ہم نے آپ کو پناہ دی، آپ ہمارے پاس خوف کی حالت میں آئے، ہم نے آپ کو امن دیا؟ کیا تم اس بات پر خوش نہیں ہو کہ لوگ گائے اور بکریاں لے جائیں اور تم پیغمبر اللہ کو لے جاؤ اور اپنے گھروں میں داخل ہوجاؤ؟ اگر لوگ ایک راستے پر چل رہے ہوں اور تم دوسرے راستے پر چل رہے ہو تو میں تمہارے راستے کو اختیار کروں گا اور اگر ہجرت نہ ہوتی تو میں انصار ہی کا ایک فرد ہوتا اور تم لوگ میرے بعد بھی ترجیحات دیکھو گے، اس موقع پر صبر کرنا تاآنکہ تم مجھ سے حوض کوثر پر آملو۔
Hazrat Abusaid Khudri Raziallahu Anhu se marvi hai ki ek martaba kuch Ansaari log jama hue kehne lage ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) hum par dusron ko tarjih dene lage hain, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko ye baat maloom hui to aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne tamam Ansaar ko jama kia aur unke samne khutba dete hue irshad farmaya aye giroh Ansaar! kia tum zillat ka shikar na the ki Allah ne tumhen izzat ata farmaai? unhon ne kaha Allah aur uske rasool ne sach farmaya: phir Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya kia tum gumrahi mein na pade hue the ki Allah ne tumhen hidayat se sarfraz farmaya? unhon ne kaha ki Allah aur uske rasool ne sach farmaya: phir Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya kia tum tangdasti ka shikar na the ki Allah ne tumhen ghana se sarfraz farmaya? unhon ne kaha ki Allah aur uske rasool ne sach farmaya: phir Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya tum meri baat kyon nahin mante? kia tum mere mutalliq ye nahin kehte ki aap humare paas is haal mein the ki aap ko aap ke apnon ne chhod dia tha, hum ne aap ko panah di, aap humare paas khauf ki halat mein aaye, hum ne aap ko aman dia? kia tum is baat par khush nahin ho ki log gaaye aur bakriyan le jayen aur tum paigambar Allah ko le jao aur apne gharon mein dakhil ho jao? agar log ek raste par chal rahe hon aur tum dusre raste par chal rahe ho to main tumhare raste ko ikhtiyar karunga aur agar hijrat na hoti to main Ansaar hi ka ek fard hota aur tum log mere baad bhi tarjihaat dekhoge, is mauqe par sabar karna ta'ankum mujhse hauz e kausar par aamlo.
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا رَبَاحٌ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ: اجْتَمَعَ أُنَاسٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ، فَقَالُوا: آثَرَ عَلَيْنَا غَيْرَنَا، فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَجَمَعَهُمْ، ثُمَّ خَطَبَهُمْ، فَقَالَ:" يَا مَعْشَرَ الْأَنْصَارِ، أَلَمْ تَكُونُوا أَذِلَّةً فَأَعَزَّكُمْ اللَّهُ؟" , قَالُوا: صَدَقَ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ , قَالَ:" أَلَمْ تَكُونُوا ضُلَّالًا فَهَدَاكُمْ اللَّهُ؟" , قَالُوا: صَدَقَ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ , قَالَ:" أَلَمْ تَكُونُوا فُقَرَاءَ فَأَغْنَاكُمْ اللَّهُ؟" , قَالُوا: صَدَقَ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ، ثُمَّ قَالَ:" أَلَا تُجِيبُونَنِي، أَلَا تَقُولُونَ: أَتَيْتَنَا طَرِيدًا فَآوَيْنَاكَ، وَأَتَيْتَنَا خَائِفًا فَأمَنَّاكَ، أَلَا تَرْضَوْنَ أَنْ يَذْهَبَ النَّاسُ بِالشَّاءِ وَالْبُقْرَانِ يَعْنِي الْبَقَرَ وَتَذْهَبُونَ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ فَتُدْخِلُونَهُ بُيُوتَكُمْ، لَوْ أَنَّ النَّاسَ سَلَكُوا وَادِيًا أَوْ شُعْبَةً، وَسَلَكْتُمْ وَادِيًا أَوْ شُعْبَةً، لَسَلَكْتُ وَادِيَكُمْ أَوْ شُعْبَتَكُمْ، لَوْلَا الْهِجْرَةُ لَكُنْتُ امْرَأً مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ، وَإِنَّكُمْ سَتَلْقَوْنَ بَعْدِي أَثَرَةً، فَاصْبِرُوا حَتَّى تَلْقَوْنِي عَلَى الْحَوْضِ".
