Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 11563
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I was in the court of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and he was offering prayer on a mat.

حضرت ابوسعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ میں بارگاہ نبوت میں حاضر ہوا تو نبی ﷺ چٹائی پر نماز پڑھ رہے تھے۔

حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ: دَخَلْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ" يُصَلِّي عَلَى حَصِيرٍ".
