Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 11599
It is narrated by Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that a villager asked in the court of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), "O Messenger of Allah, we often have a lizard in our food." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not give him any answer. After a while, he asked the same question again, but the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) still did not answer him. It happened three times like this. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "The curse or wrath of Allah fell upon a group of the Children of Israel and their forms were transformed. I do not know if this is the same, so I neither command to eat it nor forbid it."

حضرت ابوسعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک دیہاتی آدمی نے بارگاہ نبوت میں یہ سوال عرض کیا کہ یا رسول اللہ ﷺ ہمارے گھر میں کھانے کے لئے اکثر گوہ ہوتی ہے، نبی ﷺ نے اسے کوئی جواب نہ دیا، تھوڑی دیر بعد اس نے پھر یہی سوال کیا لیکن نبی ﷺ نے اب بھی اسے جواب نہ دیا، تین مرتبہ اسی طرح ہوا، پھر نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا بنی اسرائیل کی ایک جماعت پر اللہ کی لعنت یا غضب نازل ہوا اور ان کی شکلوں کو مسخ کردیا گیا تھا، کہیں یہ وہی نہ ہو اس لئے میں اسے کھانے کا حکم دیتا ہوں نہ ہی منع کرتا ہوں۔
Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki aik dehati aadmi ne bargah e nabuyat mein yeh sawal arz kiya ki Ya Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) humare ghar mein khane ke liye aksar goh hoti hai, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne use koi jawab na diya, thori dair baad usne phir yahi sawal kiya lekin Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ab bhi use jawab na diya, teen martaba isi tarah hua, phir Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya Bani Israel ki aik jamat par Allah ki laanat ya ghazab nazil hua aur unki shaklon ko masakh kar diya gaya tha, kahin yeh wohi na ho is liye mein use khane ka hukum deta hun na hi mana karta hun.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَقِيلٍ ، قَالَ: حدثَنَا أَبُو نَضْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ: جَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: عَامَّةُ طَعَامِ أَهْلِي يَعْنِي الضِّبَابَ، فَلَمْ يُجِبْهُ، فَلَمْ يُجَاوِزْ إِلَّا قَرِيبًا، فَعَاوَدَهُ فَلَمْ يُجِبْهُ، فَعَاوَدَهُ ثَلَاثًا، فَقَالَ:" إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى لَعَنَ أَوْ غَضِبَ عَلَى سِبْطٍ مِنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ، فَمُسِخُوا دَوَابَّ، فَلَا أَدْرِي لَعَلَّهُ بَعْضُهَا، فَلَسْتُ بِآكِلِهَا وَلَا أَنْهَى عَنْهَا".
