Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 11730
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) distributed some things among the Quraysh and other Arab tribes. The Ansar did not receive anything from it. This thing came to their minds and it became a topic of frequent discussion to the extent that a man even said that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has sided with his own people. Upon hearing this, Saad bin Ubadah (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah! This tribe of Ansar is feeling burdened in their hearts about the way you have distributed this wealth. You have distributed it among your own people and given large gifts to the Arab tribes, while the Ansar have not received any share in it." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked him, "Saad! What is your stance on this matter?" He replied, "O Messenger of Allah! What standing do I have? I am just a member of my tribe, nothing more." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Gather your people for me regarding this matter." So Saad (may Allah be pleased with him) went out and gathered everyone. Some Muhajireen (emigrants from Mecca) also came, and Saad (may Allah be pleased with him) let them in. Then some other Muhajireen came, but he stopped them. In short, when everyone had gathered, Saad (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said, "The Ansar have gathered." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to them and, after praising and glorifying Allah, said, "O group of Ansar! What are these things that I hear from you that you are somewhat displeased? Were you not astray when Allah guided you? Were you not poor when Allah made you rich? Were you not enemies of each other when Allah put love for one another in your hearts?" They said, "It is the grace and kindness of Allah and His Messenger." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Why don't you answer me? By Allah! If you want, you can say it, and you will be truthful in it. You came to us when your own people had abandoned you. We gave you shelter. You came to us in a state of fear, and we gave you peace. Are you not happy that people take away cows and goats, but you take away the Prophet of Allah and enter your homes with him? By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, if people were walking on one path and you were walking on another, I would choose your path. O Allah! Have mercy on the Ansar, their children, and their grandchildren." Upon this, they all began to cry until their beards were wet with tears, and they started saying, "We are pleased with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) regarding our share and distribution." After that, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) returned, and the people also dispersed.

حضرت ابوسعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ نے قریش اور دیگر قبائل عرب میں کچھ چیزیں تقسیم کیں، انصار کے حصے میں اس میں سے کچھ بھی نہ آیا، یہ چیز ان کے ذہن میں آئی اور کثرت سے یہ باتیں ہونے لگیں حتیٰ کہ ایک آدمی نے یہ بھی کہہ دیا کہ نبی ﷺ اپنی قوم سے جا ملے ہیں، یہ سن کر حضرت سعد بن عبادہ رضی اللہ عنہ بارگاہ نبوت میں حاضر ہوئے اور عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ ﷺ ! انصار کا یہ قبیلہ آپ کے متعلق اپنے ذہن میں بوجھ کا شکار ہے کہ آپ نے اس مال غنیمت میں کیا طریقہ اختیار فرمایا: آپ نے اسے اپنی قوم میں تقسیم کردیا اور قبائل عرب کو بڑے بڑے عطیے دیئے اور انصار کا اس میں سے کچھ بھی حصہ نہ ہوا، نبی ﷺ نے ان سے پوچھا کہ سعد! اس معاملے میں تم کس طرف ہو؟ انہوں نے عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ ﷺ ! میری کیا حیثیت ہے، میں تو اپنی قوم کا صرف ایک فرد ہوں اور اس کے علاوہ میں کیا ہوں؟ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا اس بارے میں اپنی قوم کو جمع کرو۔ چنانچہ حضرت سعد رضی اللہ عنہ نکلے اور انہوں نے سب کو جمع کرلیا، کچھ مہاجرین بھی آئے اور حضرت سعد رضی اللہ عنہ نے انہیں بھی جانے دیا چنانچہ وہ اندر چلے گئے، کچھ دیگر مہاجرین آئے تو انہوں نے روک دیا، الغرض! جب سب جمع ہوگئے تو حضرت سعد رضی اللہ عنہ بارگاہ نبوت میں حاضر ہوئے اور عرض کیا کہ انصار جمع ہوگئے ہیں۔ نبی ﷺ ان کے پاس تشریف لائے اور اللہ کی حمد وثناء بیان کرنے کے بعد فرمایا اے گروہ انصار! یہ کیا باتیں ہیں جو مجھے تمہارے طرف سے پہنچ رہی ہیں کہ تمہیں کچھ ناراضگی ہے۔ کیا تم گمراہی میں نہ پڑے ہوئے تھے کہ اللہ نے تمہیں ہدایت سے سرفراز فرمایا: کیا تم مالی تنگدستی کا شکار نہ تھے کہ اللہ نے تمہیں غناء سے سرفراز فرمایا؟ تم ایک دوسرے کے دشمن نہ تھے کہ اللہ نے تمہارے دلوں میں ایک دوسرے کی محبت ڈالی؟ انہوں نے کہا کہ اللہ اور اس کے رسول کا احسان اور مہربانی ہے، پھر نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا تم میری بات کا جواب کیوں نہیں دیتے؟ بخدا! اگر تم چاہو تو یہ کہہ سکتے ہو اور اس میں تم سچے ہوگے، آپ ہمارے پاس اس حال میں آئے تھے کہ آپ کو آپ کے اپنوں نے چھوڑ دیا تھا، ہم نے آپ کو پناہ دی، آپ ہمارے پاس خوف کی حالت میں آئے، ہم نے آپ کو امن دیا؟ کیا تم اس بات پر خوش نہیں ہو کہ لوگ گائے اور بکریاں لے جائیں اور تم پیغمبر اللہ کو لے جاؤ اور اپنے گھروں میں داخل ہوجاؤ؟ اس ذات کی قسم جس کے دست قدرت میں محمد ﷺ کی جان ہے اگر لوگ ایک راستے پر چل رہے ہوں اور تم دوسرے راستے پر چل رہے ہو تو میں تمہارے راستے کو اختیار کروں گا، اے اللہ! انصار پر، ان کے بیٹوں پر اور ان کے پوتوں پر رحم فرما، اس پر وہ سب رونے لگے حتیٰ کہ ان کی ڈاڑھیاں ان کے آنسوؤں سے تر ہوگئیں اور وہ کہنے لگے کہ ہم نبی ﷺ پر اپنے حصے اور تقسیم کے اعتبار سے راضی ہیں، اس کے بعد نبی ﷺ واپس چلے گئے اور وہ لوگ بھی منتشر ہوگئے۔
Hazrat Abusaid Khudri razi Allah anhu se marvi hai ki ek martaba Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Quresh aur deegar qabail Arab mein kuch cheezen taqsim kin, Ansar ke hisse mein is mein se kuch bhi na aaya, yeh cheez un ke zehn mein aayi aur kasrat se yeh baaten hone lagin hatta ki ek aadmi ne yeh bhi keh diya ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) apni qaum se ja mile hain, yeh sun kar Hazrat Saad bin Ubadah razi Allah anhu bargah nabuwat mein hazir hue aur arz kiya Ya Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)! Ansar ka yeh qabila aap ke mutalliq apne zehn mein baujh ka shikar hai ki aap ne is maal ghanimat mein kya tariqa ikhtiyar farmaya: aap ne ise apni qaum mein taqsim kar diya aur qabail Arab ko bade bade atiye diye aur Ansar ka is mein se kuch bhi hissa na hua, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne un se pucha ki Saad! is mamle mein tum kis taraf ho? Unhon ne arz kiya Ya Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)! meri kya haisiyat hai, main to apni qaum ka sirf ek farz hun aur is ke ilawa main kya hun? Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya is bare mein apni qaum ko jama karo. Chunanche Hazrat Saad razi Allah anhu nikle aur unhon ne sab ko jama kar liya, kuch muhajirin bhi aaye aur Hazrat Saad razi Allah anhu ne unhen bhi jaane diya chunanche woh andar chale gaye, kuch deegar muhajirin aaye to unhon ne rok diya, algharaz! Jab sab jama ho gaye to Hazrat Saad razi Allah anhu bargah nabuwat mein hazir hue aur arz kiya ki Ansar jama ho gaye hain. Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) un ke paas tashrif laaye aur Allah ki hamd o sana bayan karne ke baad farmaya aye giroh Ansar! yeh kya baaten hain jo mujhe tumhare taraf se pahunch rahi hain ki tumhen kuch naraazgi hai. Kya tum gumrahi mein na pade hue the ki Allah ne tumhen hidayat se sarfraz farmaya: kya tum mali tangdasti ka shikar na the ki Allah ne tumhen ghana se sarfraz farmaya? Tum ek dusre ke dushman na the ki Allah ne tumhare dilon mein ek dusre ki mohabbat dali? Unhon ne kaha ki Allah aur us ke Rasul ka ehsan aur mehrbani hai, phir Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya tum meri baat ka jawab kyun nahin dete? Khuda! Agar tum chaho to yeh keh sakte ho aur is mein tum sachche honge, aap humare paas is haal mein aaye the ki aap ko aap ke apnon ne chhor diya tha, hum ne aap ko panah di, aap humare paas khauf ki halat mein aaye, hum ne aap ko aman diya? Kya tum is baat par khush nahin ho ki log gaaye aur bakriyan le jayen aur tum Paighambar Allah ko le jao aur apne gharon mein dakhil ho jao? Is zaat ki qasam jis ke dast qudrat mein Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki jaan hai agar log ek raste par chal rahe hon aur tum dusre raste par chal rahe ho to main tumhare raste ko ikhtiyar karunga, aye Allah! Ansar par, un ke beton par aur un ke poton par reham farma, is par woh sab rone lage hatta ki un ki darhiyan un ke aansuon se tar ho gain aur woh kehne lage ki hum Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) par apne hisse aur taqsim ke aitbaar se raazi hain, is ke baad Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) wapas chale gaye aur woh log bhi muntashir ho gaye.
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنْ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ: وَحَدَّثَنِي عَاصِمُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ , عَنْ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ لَبِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ: لَمَّا أَعْطَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا أَعْطَى مِنْ تِلْكَ الْعَطَايَا فِي قُرَيْشٍ، وَقَبَائِلِ الْعَرَبِ، وَلَمْ يَكُنْ فِي الْأَنْصَارِ مِنْهَا شَيْءٌ، وَجَدَ هَذَا الْحَيُّ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فِي أَنْفُسِهِمْ، حَتَّى كَثُرَتْ فِيهِمْ الْقَالَةُ، حَتَّى قَالَ قَائِلُهُمْ: لَقِيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَوْمَهُ، فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ سَعْدُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، إِنَّ هَذَا الْحَيَّ قَدْ وَجَدُوا عَلَيْكَ فِي أَنْفُسِهِمْ لِمَا صَنَعْتَ فِي هَذَا الْفَيْءِ الَّذِي أَصَبْتَ، قَسَمْتَ فِي قَوْمِكَ، وَأَعْطَيْتَ عَطَايَا عِظَامًا فِي قَبَائِلِ الْعَرَبِ، وَلَمْ يَك فِي هَذَا الْحَيِّ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ شَيْءٌ، قَالَ:" فَأَيْنَ أَنْتَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ يَا سَعْدُ؟" , قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، مَا أَنَا إِلَّا امْرُؤٌ مِنْ قَوْمِي، وَمَا أَنَا؟ قَالَ:" فَاجْمَعْ لِي قَوْمَكَ فِي هَذِهِ الْحَظِيرَةِ" قَالَ: فَخَرَجَ سَعْدٌ، فَجَمَعَ النَّاسَ فِي تِلْكَ الْحَظِيرَةِ، قَالَ: فَجَاءَ رِجَالٌ مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ فَتَرَكَهُمْ، فَدَخَلُوا، وَجَاءَ آخَرُونَ فَرَدَّهُمْ، فَلَمَّا اجْتَمَعُوا أَتَاهُ سَعْدٌ، فَقَالَ: قَدْ اجْتَمَعَ لَكَ هَذَا الْحَيُّ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ، قَالَ: فَأَتَاهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ، وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ بِالَّذِي هُوَ لَهُ أَهْلٌ، ثُمَّ قَالَ:" يَا مَعْشَرَ الْأَنْصَارِ، مَا قَالَةٌ بَلَغَتْنِي عَنْكُمْ وَجِدَةٌ وَجَدْتُمُوهَا فِي أَنْفُسِكُمْ، أَلَمْ آتِكُمْ ضُلَّالًا فَهَدَاكُمْ اللَّهُ؟ وَعَالَةً فَأَغْنَاكُمْ اللَّهُ؟ وَأَعْدَاءً فَأَلَّفَ اللَّهُ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِكُمْ؟" , قَالُوا: بَلْ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَمَنُّ وَأَفْضَلُ , قَالَ:" أَلَا تُجِيبُونَنِي يَا مَعْشَرَ الْأَنْصَارِ"، قَالُوا: وَبِمَاذَا نُجِيبُكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، وَلِلَّهِ وَلِرَسُولِهِ الْمَنُّ وَالْفَضْلُ , قَالَ:" أَمَا وَاللَّهِ لَوْ شِئْتُمْ لَقُلْتُمْ فَلَصَدَقْتُمْ وَصُدِّقْتُمْ، أَتَيْتَنَا مُكَذَّبًا فَصَدَّقْنَاكَ، وَمَخْذُولًا فَنَصَرْنَاكَ، وَطَرِيدًا فَآوَيْنَاكَ، وَعَائِلًا فَأَغْنَيْنَاكَ، أَوَجَدْتُمْ فِي أَنْفُسِكُمْ يَا مَعْشَرَ الْأَنْصَارِ فِي لُعَاعَةٍ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا، تَأَلَّفْتُ بِهَا قَوْمًا لِيُسْلِمُوا، وَوَكَلْتُكُمْ إِلَى إِسْلَامِكُمْ؟ أَفَلَا تَرْضَوْنَ يَا مَعْشَرَ الْأَنْصَارِ أَنْ يَذْهَبَ النَّاسُ بِالشَّاةِ وَالْبَعِيرِ، وَتَرْجِعُونَ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي رِحَالِكُمْ؟ فَوَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ، لَوْلَا الْهِجْرَةُ لَكُنْتُ امْرَأً مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ، وَلَوْ سَلَكَ النَّاسُ شِعْبًا، وَسَلَكَتْ الْأَنْصَارُ شِعْبًا، لَسَلَكْتُ شِعْبَ الْأَنْصَارِ، اللَّهُمَّ ارْحَمْ الْأَنْصَارَ، وَأَبْنَاءَ الْأَنْصَارِ، وَأَبْنَاءَ أَبْنَاءِ الْأَنْصَارِ". قَالَ: فَبَكَى الْقَوْمُ حَتَّى أَخْضَلُوا لِحَاهُمْ , وَقَالُوا: رَضِينَا بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ قِسْمًا وَحَظًّا , ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَتَفَرَّقُوا.
