Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 11827
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that whenever the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would say "Samiallahu liman hamidah" (Allah hears those who praise Him), he would then say, "O our Lord! O Allah! All praise is for You alone, as much as the capacity of the heavens and the earth and whatever You wish beyond them. You alone are worthy of praise and greatness. Whatever a servant says, You are the most deserving of it, and we are all Your servants. Whatever You give to someone, no one can hold it back, and the greatness of any person of high rank is of no benefit before You."

حضرت ابوسعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ جب " سمع اللہ لمن حمدہ " کہتے تو اس کے بعد یہ فرماتے کہ اے ہمارے پروردگار! اے اللہ! تمام تعریفیں آپ ہی کے لئے ہیں، زمین و آسمان اور اس کے علاوہ جنہیں آپ چاہیں، ان کے پر کرنے کی بقدر، آپ ہی تعریف اور بزرگی کے لائق ہیں، بندے جو کہتے ہیں تو ان کا سب سے زیادہ حقدار ہے اور ہم سب آپ کے بندے ہیں، جسے آپ کچھ دے دیں اس سے وہ چیز کوئی روک نہیں سکتا اور کسی مرتبہ والے کی بزرگی آپ کے سامنے کوئی فائدہ نہیں دے سکتی۔
Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri RA se marvi hai keh Nabi SAW jab "Samiallahu Liman Hamidah" kehte to uske baad yeh farmate keh aye hamare parvardigaar! Aye Allah! Tamam tarifain aap hi ke liye hain, zameen o aasman aur uske ilawa jinhen aap chahein, un ke pur karne ki baqadar, aap hi tareef aur buzurgi ke layeq hain, bande jo kehte hain to unka sab se zyada haqdaar hai aur hum sab aap ke bande hain, jise aap kuch de den us se woh cheez koi rok nahin sakta aur kisi martaba wale ki buzurgi aap ke samne koi faida nahin de sakti.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَطِيَّةُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ ، عَمَّنْ حَدَّثَهُ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا قَالَ:" سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ، قَالَ: اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا لَكَ الْحَمْدُ، مِلْءَ السَّمَوَاتِ، وَمِلْءَ الْأَرْضِ، وَمِلْءَ مَا شِئْتَ مِنْ شَيْءٍ بَعْدُ، أَهْلَ الثَّنَاءِ وَالْمَجْدِ، أَحَقُّ مَا قَالَ الْعَبْدُ، وَكُلُّنَا لَكَ عَبْدٌ، لَا مَانِعَ لِمَا أَعْطَيْتَ، وَلَا يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ".
