Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 11956
It is narrated on the authority of Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of the Battle of Uhud, the four front teeth of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) were broken and he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was also wounded on his forehead, so much so that the blood began to flow on his blessed face. Upon this, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "How can that nation prosper which treats its Prophet in this manner while he calls them towards their Lord?" Then this verse was revealed: "It is not for you to compel them (to believe). You are only a Warner."

حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ غزوہ احد کے دن نبی ﷺ کے اگلے چار دانت ٹوٹ گئے تھے اور آپ ﷺ کی پیشانی پر بھی زخم آیا تھا، حتیٰ کہ اس کا خون آپ ﷺ کے چہرہ مبارک پر بہنے لگا، اس پر نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا وہ قوم کیسے فلاح پائے گی جو اپنے نبی کے ساتھ یہ سلوک کرے جب کہ وہ انہیں ان کے رب کی طرف بلا رہا ہو؟ اس پر یہ آیت نازل ہوئی کہ " آپ کو کسی قسم کا کوئی اختیار نہیں ہے کہ اللہ ان پر متوجہ ہوجائے یا انہیں سزا دے کہ وہ ظالم ہیں۔ "
Hazrat Anas bin Malik Radi Allaho Anho se marvi hai ki Ghazwa Uhud ke din Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ke agle chaar daant toot gaye the aur aap Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ki peshani par bhi zakhm aaya tha, hatta ki iska khoon aap Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ke chehra mubarak par behne laga, is par Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya woh qaum kaise falaah paegi jo apne Nabi ke sath ye sulook kare jab keh woh unhen unke Rab ki taraf bula raha ho? Is par ye ayat nazil hui ki " Aap ko kisi qisam ka koi ikhtiyar nahi hai ki Allah un par mutawaaja hojae ya unhen saza de keh woh zalim hain ".
حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كُسِرَتْ رَبَاعِيَتُهُ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ، وَشُجَّ فِي جَبْهَتِهِ حَتَّى سَالَ الدَّمُ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ، فَقَالَ:" كَيْفَ يُفْلِحُ قَوْمٌ فَعَلُوا هَذَا بِنَبِيِّهِمْ، وَهُوَ يَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَى رَبِّهِمْ؟!" فَنَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ: لَيْسَ لَكَ مِنَ الأَمْرِ شَيْءٌ أَوْ يَتُوبَ عَلَيْهِمْ أَوْ يُعَذِّبَهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ ظَالِمُونَ سورة آل عمران آية 128.
