Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 14115
Narrated by Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him), that during a battle, we were with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and we were a little over two hundred in number. When the time for prayer came, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked, "Does anyone have water?" Hearing this, a man came running with a vessel containing a small amount of water. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) poured that water into a bowl and performed ablution thoroughly. Having performed ablution, he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) left the bowl there. People rushed towards that bowl. Hearing their voices, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Stop!" Then he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) placed his blessed hand in that water and bowl, and saying "Bismillah," he said, "Perform ablution thoroughly and properly." By the One who has granted me the blessing of sight, I saw springs of water flowing from the blessed fingers of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that day. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not lift his blessed hand until all the people had performed ablution.

سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک غزوہ میں ہم لوگ نبی ﷺ کے ساتھ شریک تھے اس وقت ہم لوگ دو سو سے کچھ زائد تھے، نماز کا وقت ہوا تو نبی ﷺ نے پوچھا: ”کسی کے پاس پانی ہے؟“ ایک آدمی یہ سن کر دوڑتا ہوا ایک برتن لے کر آیا جس میں تھوڑا سا پانی تھا نبی ﷺ نے اس پانی کو ایک پیالے میں ڈالا اور اس سے خوب اچھی طرح وضو کیا وضو کر کے آپ ﷺ پیالہ وہیں چھوڑ آئے، لوگ اس پیالے پر ٹوٹ پڑے نبی ﷺ نے ان کی آوازیں سن کر فرمایا: ”رک جاؤ“ پھر اس پانی اور پیالے میں اپنا دست مبارک رکھ دیا اور بسم اللہ کہہ کر فرمایا: ”خوب اچھی طرح کامل وضو کرو“ اس ذات کی قسم جس نے مجھے آنکھوں کی نعمت عطاء فرمائی ہے، میں نے اس دن دیکھا کہ نبی ﷺ کی مبارک انگلیوں سے پانی کے چشمے جاری ہیں نبی ﷺ نے اپنا دست مبارک اس وقت تک نہ اٹھایا جب تک سب لوگوں نے وضو نہ کر لیا۔
Sayyiduna Jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki ek ghazwa mein hum log Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath sharik the us waqt hum log do sau se kuchh zaid the, namaz ka waqt hua to Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne puchha: "Kisi ke pas pani hai?" Ek aadmi yeh sunkar daudta hua ek bartan lekar aaya jis mein thoda sa pani tha Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne us pani ko ek pyale mein dala aur us se khoob achhi tarah wuzu kiya wuzu kar ke Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) pyala wahin chhod aaye, log us pyale par toot pade Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne unki aawazen sunkar farmaya: "Ruk jao" phir us pani aur pyale mein apna dast mubarak rakh diya aur bismillah keh kar farmaya: "Khoob achhi tarah kamel wuzu karo" is zaat ki kasam jisne mujhe aankhon ki naimat ata farmaai hai, maine us din dekha ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki mubarak ungliyon se pani ke chashme jari hain Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne apna dast mubarak us waqt tak na uthaya jab tak sab logon ne wuzu na kar liya.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ ، عَنْ نُبَيْحٍ الْعَنَزِيِّ ، أَنَّ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا، قَالَ: غَزَوْنَا أَوْ سَافَرْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَنَحْنُ يَوْمَئِذٍ بِضْعَةَ عَشَرَ وَمِائَتَانِ فَحَضَرَتْ الصَّلَاةُ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" هَلْ فِي الْقَوْمِ مِنْ مَاءٍ؟" فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ يَسْعَى بِإِدَاوَةٍ فِيهَا شَيْءٌ مِنْ مَاءٍ، قَالَ: فَصَبَّهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي قَدَحٍ، قَالَ: فَتَوَضَّأَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَأَحْسَنَ الْوُضُوءَ، ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ، وَتَرَكَ الْقَدَحَ، فَرَكِبَ النَّاسُ الْقَدَحَ تَمْسَحُوا وَتَمْسَحُوا، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" عَلَى رِسْلِكُم"، حِينَ سَمِعَهُمْ يَقُولُونَ ذَلِكَ، قَالَ: فَوَضَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَفَّهُ فِي الْمَاءِ وَالْقَدَحِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" بِسْمِ اللَّهِ"، ثُمَّ قَالَ:" أَسْبِغُوا الْوُضُوءَ" فَوَالَّذِي هُوَ ابْتَلَانِي بِبَصَرِي، لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ الْعُيُونَ، عُيُونَ الْمَاءِ، يَوْمَئِذٍ تَخْرُجُ مِنْ بَيْنِ أَصَابِعِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فما رَفَعها حَتَّى تَوَضَّئُوا أَجْمَعُونَ.
