Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 14132
Narrated by Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked me if I was married. I said, "Yes." He asked, "To a virgin or a previously married woman?" I replied, "To a previously married woman." Because I have younger sisters and nieces, I did not consider it appropriate to bring someone as naive as them. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Why didn't you marry a virgin, so you could play with her?" Then he said, "Soon you will get woolen clothes." I asked, "O Messenger of Allah! Where from?" He said, "You will definitely get woolen clothes soon." Now that I have received them today, I told my wife to keep these woolen clothes with her. She says, "Didn't the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say that you will get woolen clothes?" Hearing this, I leave her to her own devices.

سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ نے مجھ سے پوچھا کہ کیا تم نے شادی کر لی؟ میں نے عرض کیا، جی ہاں، پوچھا کہ کنواری سے یا شوہر دیدہ سے؟ میں نے عرض کیا: شوہر دیدہ سے۔ کیونکہ میری چھوٹی بہنیں اور پھوپھیاں ہیں، میں نے ان میں ان ہی جیسی بیوقوف کو لانا مناسب نہ سمجھا، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا کہ کنواری سے کیوں نہ نکاح کیا، تم اس سے کھیلتے؟ پھر فرمایا کہ عنقریب تمہیں اونی کپڑے ملیں گے، میں نے پوچھا کہ یا رسول اللہ! کہاں سے؟ فرمایا: عنقریب تمہیں اونی کپڑے ضرور ملیں گے، اب آج وہ مجھے مل گئے ہیں تو میں نے اپنی بیوی سے کہا کہ یہ اونی کپڑے اپنے پاس ہی رکھو، تو وہ کہتی ہے کہ کیا نبی ﷺ نے نہیں فرمایا تھا کہ تمہیں اونی کپڑے ملیں گے، یہ سن کر میں اسے اس کے حال پر چھوڑ دیتا ہوں۔
Sayyidna Jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki ek martaba Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne mujhse pucha ki kya tumne shadi kar li? Maine arz kiya, ji haan, pucha ki kunwari se ya shohar deeda se? Maine arz kiya: shohar deeda se. Kyunki meri chhoti behnein aur bhhoophiyan hain, maine un mein un hi jaisi bewqoof ko lana munasib na samjha, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya ki kunwari se kyun nah nikah kiya, tum us se khelte? Phir farmaya ki anqareeb tumhen ooni kapde milenge, maine pucha ki ya Rasulullah! kahan se? Farmaya: anqareeb tumhen ooni kapde zaroor milenge, ab aaj wo mujhe mil gaye hain to maine apni biwi se kaha ki yeh ooni kapde apne pass hi rakho, to wo kehti hai ki kya Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne nahin farmaya tha ki tumhen ooni kapde milenge, yeh sunkar mein use uske haal par chhod deta hun.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّه ، قَالَ: قَالَ لي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" أَتَزَوَّجْتَ؟"، فَقُلْتُ: نَعَمْ، فَقَالَ:" أَبِكْرًا أَمْ ثَيِّبًا"، فَقُلْتُ: لَا بَلْ ثَيِّبًا، لِي أَخَوَاتٌ وَعَمَّاتٌ، فَكَرِهْتُ أَنْ أَضُمَّ إِلَيْهِنَّ خَرْقَاءَ مِثْلَهُنَّ، قَالَ:" أَفَلَا بِكْرًا تُلَاعِبُهَا؟" قَالَ:" لَكُمْ أَنْمَاطٌ؟"، قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، وَأَنَّى؟ فَقَالَ:" أَمَا إِنَّهَا سَتَكُونُ لَكُمْ أَنْمَاطٌ"، قال: فَأَنَا الْيَوْمَ أَقُولُ لِامْرَأَتِي نَحِّي عَنِّي أَنْمَاطَكِ، فَتَقُولُ: نَعَمْ! أَلَمْ يَقُلْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" إِنَّهَا سَتَكُونُ لَكُمْ أَنْمَاطٌ؟! فَأَتْرُكُهَا".
