Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 14314
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the occasion of the Battle of Uhud, a man asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), "If I am martyred, where will I go?" He said, "To Paradise." Upon hearing this, he put the dates from his hand aside and jumped into the battlefield until he drank from the cup of martyrdom.

سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ غزوہ احد کے موقع پر ایک آدمی نے نبی ﷺ سے پوچھا کہ اگر میں شہید ہو گیا تو کہاں جاؤں گا؟ تو فرمایا کہ جنت میں یہ سن کر اس نے اپنے ہاتھ کی کھجوروں کو ایک طرف رکھ دیا اور میدان کار زار میں کود پڑا حتی کہ جام شہادت نوش کر لیا۔
Saina Jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Ghazwah Uhad ke mauqe par ek aadmi ne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se puchha ki agar mein shaheed ho gaya to kahan jaon ga? To farmaya ki jannat mein. Ye sun kar usne apne hath ki khajuron ko ek taraf rakh diya aur maidan e karzar mein kud pada hatta ki jaam e shahadat nosh kar liya.
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو ، سَمِعْ جَابِرًا ، يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَجُلٌ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنْ قُتِلْتُ فَأَيْنَ أَنَا؟ قَالَ:" فِي الْجَنَّةِ" فَأَلْقَى تَمَرَاتٍ كُنَّ فِي يَدِهِ، فَقَاتَلَ حَتَّى قُتِلَ، وَقَالَ: غَيْرُ عَمْرٍو َتَخَلَّى مِنْ طَعَامِ الدُّنْيَا.
