Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 14365
Narrated by Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him): On the occasion of the Farewell Sermon, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked the Companions: “Which day is the most sacred?” They replied, “This day.” The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked, “Which month is the most sacred?” They replied, “This month.” The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked, “Which city is the most sacred?” They replied, “This city of ours.” The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “Then remember! Your lives and properties are as sacred to one another as the sanctity of this day, this month, and this city.”

سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے خطبہ حجۃ الوداع کے موقع پر صحابہ سے پوچھا کہ سب سے زیادہ حرمت والا دن کون سا ہے؟ صحابہ نے عرض کیا: آج کا دن۔ نبی ﷺ نے پوچھا: ”سب سے زیادہ حرمت والا مہینہ کون سا ہے؟“ صحابہ نے عرض کیا: رواں مہینہ، نبی ﷺ نے پوچھا کہ سب سے زیادہ حرمت والا کون سا شہر ہے؟ صحابہ نے عرض کیا: ہمارا یہی شہر۔ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”پھر یاد رکھو! تمہاری جان اور مال ایک دوسرے کے لئے اسی طرح قابل احترام ہیں جیسے اس دن کی حرمت اس مہینے اور اس شہر میں ہے۔“
Sayyedna Jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ke Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne khutba Hajjatul Wida ke mauqe par sahaba se poocha ke sab se zyada hurmat wala din kaun sa hai? Sahaba ne arz kiya: Aaj ka din. Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne poocha: "Sab se zyada hurmat wala maheena kaun sa hai?" Sahaba ne arz kiya: Rawaan maheena, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne poocha ke sab se zyada hurmat wala kaun sa shehar hai? Sahaba ne arz kiya: Humara yahi shehar. Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Phir yaad rakho! Tumhari jaan aur maal ek doosre ke liye isi tarah qabil ehtram hain jaise is din ki hurmat is maheene aur is shehar mein hai."
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي حَجَّتِهِ:" أَيُّ يَوْمٍ أَعْظَمُ حُرْمَةً؟" قَالُوا: يَوْمُنَا هَذَا، قَالَ:" فَأَيُّ شَهْرٍ أَعْظَمُ حُرْمَةً"، قَالُوا: شَهْرُنَا هَذَا، قَالَ:" فَأَيُّ بَلَدٍ أَعْظَمُ حُرْمَةً"، قَالُوا: بَلَدُنَا هَذَا، قَالَ:" فَإِنَّ دِمَاءَكُمْ وَأَمْوَالَكُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ حَرَامٌ، كَحُرْمَةِ يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا، فِي شَهْرِكُمْ هَذَا، فِي بَلَدِكُمْ هَذَا".
