Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 14393
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once, a fever sought permission to appear before the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked: "Why have you come?" The fever replied, "I am Umm Mildam (fever)." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered it to go to the people of the tribe of Banu Quba. Allah knows best how much trouble they suffered from this fever. So they came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and complained about the fever. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "What do you want? If you wish, I will pray to Allah and He will take it away from you. And if you wish, He will make it a means of purification for you." The people of Banu Quba asked, "O Messenger of Allah! Can you really do that?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied, "Yes!" Upon this, they said, "Then let it be."
سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ بخار نے نبی ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہونے کے لئے اجازت چاہی نبی ﷺ نے پوچھا: کیوں آئے ہے؟ اس نے جواب دیا کہ «ام ملدم» (بخار) ہوں، نبی ﷺ نے اسے اہل قباء کے پاس چلے جانے کا حکم دیا، انہیں اس بخار سے جتنی پریشانی ہوئی، وہ اللہ ہی بہتر جانتا ہے، چنانچہ وہ لوگ نبی ﷺ کے پاس آئے اور بخار کی شکایت کی، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”تم کیا چاہتے ہو؟ اگر تم چاہو تو میں اللہ سے دعا کر دوں اور وہ اسے تم سے دور کر دے اور اگر چاہو تو وہ تمہارے لئے پاکیزگی کا سبب بن جائے؟“ اہل قباء نے پوچھا: یا رسول اللہ! کیا آپ ایسا کر سکتے ہیں؟ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”ہاں!“ اس پر وہ کہنے لگے کہ پھر اسے رہنے دیجئے۔
Sayyidna Jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki ek martaba Bukhar ne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki khidmat mein hazir hone ke liye ijazat chahi Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne pucha: kyun aaye hai? Usne jawab diya ki «Ummulhumma» (Bukhar) hun, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne use ahl qaba ke pass chale jane ka hukum diya, unhen is Bukhar se jitni pareshani hui, woh Allah hi behtar janta hai, chunancha woh log Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pass aaye aur Bukhar ki shikayat ki, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: ”Tum kya chahte ho? Agar tum chaho to main Allah se dua kar dun aur woh use tumse door kar de aur agar chaho to woh tumhare liye pakeezgi ka sabab ban jaye?“ Ahl Qaba ne pucha: Ya Rasulullah! Kya aap aisa kar sakte hain? Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: ”Haan!“ Is par woh kahne lage ki phir use rahne dijiye.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عن الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ: اسْتَأْذَنَتْ الْحُمَّى عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ:" مَنْ هَذِهِ؟" قَالَتْ: أُمُّ مِلْدَمٍ، قَالَ: فَأَمَرَ بِهَا إِلَى أَهْلِ قُبَاءٍ، فَلَقُوا مِنْهَا مَا يَعْلَمُ اللَّهُ، فَأَتَوْهُ فَشَكَوْا ذَلِكَ إِلَيْهِ، فَقَالَ:" مَا شِئْتُمْ؟ إِنْ شِئْتُمْ أَنْ أَدْعُوَ اللَّهَ لَكُمْ، فَيَكْشِفَهَا عَنْكُمْ، وَإِنْ شِئْتُمْ أَنْ تَكُونَ لَكُمْ طَهُورًا"، قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، أَوَتَفْعَلُ؟ قَالَ:" نَعَمْ"، قَالُوا: فَدَعْهَا.
