Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 14436
Narrated by Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that he had the opportunity to pray Salat al-Khawf (prayer of fear) with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The enemy was between us and the Qibla. We formed two rows behind the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said Takbir and we also said Takbir with you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Then he bowed and we all bowed with you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Then when you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) raised your head from bowing and went into prostration, only the first row prostrated with you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), while the second row remained standing facing the enemy. When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and the people of the first row stood up, the people of the last row went into prostration. Then the people of the last row came forward and the people of the first row went back. Then we all bowed together, and when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prostrated, the people of the first row also prostrated. And when they sat down, the people of the last row also prostrated, and everyone offered Salam together, just as your security guards do with your commanders today.

سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ انہیں نبی ﷺ کے ساتھ نماز خوف پڑھنے کا موقع ملاہے، اس وقت دشمن ہمارے اور قبلہ کے درمیان حائل تھا، ہم لوگوں نے نبی ﷺ کے پیچھے دو صفیں بنائیں، نبی ﷺ نے تکبیر کہی ہم نے بھی آپ ﷺ کے ساتھ تکبیر کہی، پھر رکوع کیا اور ہم سب نے بھی آپ ﷺ کے ساتھ رکوع کیا، پھر جب رکوع سے سر اٹھا کر سجدے میں گئے تو آپ ﷺ کے ساتھ صرف پہلی صف والوں نے سجدہ کیا، جبکہ دوسری صف دشمن کے سامنے کھڑی رہی، جب نبی ﷺ اور پہلی صف کے لوگ کھڑے ہوئے تو پچھلی صف والے سجدے میں چلے گئے، اس کے بعد پچھلی صف کے لوگ آ گئے اور اگلی صف کے لوگ پیچھے آ گئے پھر ہم سب نے اکٹھے ہی رکوع کیا اور جب نبی ﷺ نے سجدہ کیا تو اب پہلی صف والوں نے بھی سجدہ کیا اور جب وہ لوگ بیٹھ گئے تو پچھلی صف والوں نے بھی سجدہ کر لیا اور سب نے اکٹھے ہی سلام پھیرا، جیسے آج کل تمہارے حفاظتی دستے اپنے امراء کے ساتھ کرتے ہیں۔
Sayyidna Jabir Radi Allah Anhu se marvi hai ki unhen Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath Namaz Khauf padhne ka mauqa mila hai, us waqt dushman hamare aur qibla ke darmiyaan hail tha, hum logon ne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke peeche do saffen banayein, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne takbeer kahi hum ne bhi aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath takbeer kahi, phir ruku kia aur hum sab ne bhi aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath ruku kia, phir jab ruku se sar utha kar sijde mein gaye to aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath sirf pehli saf walon ne sijda kia, jabke dusri saf dushman ke samne khadi rahi, jab Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) aur pehli saf ke log khade huye to pichli saf wale sijde mein chale gaye, uske baad pichli saf ke log aa gaye aur agli saf ke log peeche aa gaye phir hum sab ne ekthay hi ruku kia aur jab Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne sijda kia to ab pehli saf walon ne bhi sijda kia aur jab wo log baith gaye to pichli saf walon ne bhi sijda kar liya aur sab ne ekthay hi salam phera, jaise aaj kal tumhare hifazati daste apne umra ke sath karte hain.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ ، حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءٌ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنَّهُ صَلَّى مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاةَ الْخَوْفِ، وَذَكَرَ أَنَّ الْعَدُوَّ كَانُوا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ، وَإِنَّا صَفَفْنَا خَلْفَهُ صَفَّيْنِ، فَكَبَّرَ وَكَبَّرْنَا مَعَهُ جَمِيعًا، ثُمَّ رَكَعَ وَرَكَعْنَا مَعَهُ جَمِيعًا، فَلَمَّا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ سَجَدَ، وَسَجَدَ مَعَهُ الصَّفُّ الَّذِي يَلِيهِ، وَقَامَ الصَّفُّ الْمُؤَخَّرُ فِي نَحْرِ الْعَدُوِّ، فَلَمَّا قَامَ وَقَامَ مَعَهُ الصَّفُّ الَّذِي يَلِيهِ، انْحَدَرَ الصَّفُّ الْمُؤَخَّرُ بِالسُّجُودِ، ثُمَّ تَقَدَّمَ الصَّفُّ الْمُؤَخَّرُ، وَتَأَخَّرَ الصَّفُّ الْمُقَدَّمُ، فَرَكَعَ وَرَكَعْنَا مَعَهُ جَمِيعًا، ثُمَّ سَجَدَ وَسَجَدَ مَعَهُ الصَّفُّ الَّذِي يَلِيهِ، فَلَمَّا سَجَدَ الصَّفُّ الَّذِي يَلِيهِ، وَجَلَسَ، انْحَدَرَ الصَّفُّ الْمُؤَخَّرُ بِالسُّجُودِ، ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ وَسَلَّمْنَا جَمِيعًا، قَالَ جَابِرٌ: كَمَا يَفْعَلُ حَرَسُكُمْ هَؤُلَاءِ بِأُمَرَائِهِمْ.
