Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 14819
Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah: In the year of the treaty of Hudaibiya, I was with the Prophet while he was distributing silver amongst the people. The silver was in Bilal's cloth. A man said, "O Messenger of Allah! Be just." The Prophet said, "Woe to you! Who else would do justice if I do not? I would be a loser (in the Hereafter) if I did not do justice." 'Umar said, "O Messenger of Allah! Allow me to strike off his (the person who objected) neck." The Prophet said, "I seek refuge in Allah that the people may say that I kill my companions. By Him (Allah) in Whose Hand my life is! These people will recite the Qur'an but it will not go beyond their throats, and they will renegade from Islam as an arrow goes out through the game."

سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ جعرانہ کے سال میں نبی ﷺ کے ساتھ تھا آپ اس وقت لوگوں میں چاندی تقسیم کر رہے تھے جو سیدنا بلال کے کپڑے میں پڑی ہوئی تھی ایک آدمی کہنے لگا کہ یا رسول اللہ! عدل کیجیے نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: تجھ پر افسوس، اگر میں ہی عدل نہ کر وں گا تو اور کون کر ے گا اگر میں عدل نہ کر وں تو خسارے میں پڑجاؤں سیدنا عمر کہنے لگے یا رسول اللہ! مجھے اجازت دیجیے کہ اس منافق کی گردن اڑا دوں؟ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: میں اللہ کی پناہ میں آتا ہوں کہ لوگ باتیں کرنے لگیں کہ میں اپنے ساتھیوں کو قتل کر وا دیتا ہوں اور یہ اس کے ساتھی قرآن پڑھیں گے لیکن وہ ان کے حلق کے نیچے سے نہیں اترے گا اور یہ لوگ دین سے اس طرح نکل جائیں گے جیسے تیر شکار سے نکل جاتا ہے۔
Sayyidna Jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Jaeranah ke saal mein Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath tha aap us waqt logon mein chandi taqseem kar rahe the jo Sayyidna Bilal ke kapde mein padi hui thi ek aadmi kahne laga ki Ya Rasul Allah adl kijiye Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya tujh par afsos agar mein hi adl na karoon ga to aur kon kare ga agar mein adl na karoon to khasare mein pad jao Sayyidna Umar kahne lage Ya Rasul Allah mujhe ijazat dijiye ki is munafiq ki gardan uda doon Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya mein Allah ki panaah mein aata hun ki log baaten karne lagein ki mein apne saathiyon ko qatl karwa deta hun aur ye uske saathi Quran padhenge lekin wo unke halaq ke niche se nahin utrega aur ye log deen se is tarah nikal jayenge jaise teer shikar se nikal jata hai.
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ جَابِرًا يَقُولُ: بَصَرَ عَيْنِي، وَسَمِعَ أُذُنِي رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْجِعْرَانَةِ، وَفِي ثَوْبِ بِلَالٍ فِضَّةٌ، وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْبِضُهَا لِلنَّاسِ يُعْطِيهِمْ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ: اعْدِلْ، قَالَ:" وَيْلَكَ، وَمَنْ يَعْدِلُ إِذَا لَمْ أَكُنْ أَعْدِلُ"، قَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، دَعْنِي أَقْتُلْ هَذَا الْمُنَافِقَ الْخَبِيثَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" مَعَاذَ اللَّهِ أَنْ يَتَحَدَّثَ النَّاسُ أَنِّي أَقْتُلُ أَصْحَابِي، إِنَّ هَذَا وَأَصْحَابَهُ يَقْرَءُونَ الْقُرْآنَ، لَا يُجَاوِزُ تَرَاقِيَهُمْ، يَمْرُقُونَ مِنَ الدِّينِ كَمَا يَمْرُقُ السَّهْمُ مِنَ الرَّمِيَّةِ".
