Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 14859
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Men should say Subhan Allah (Glory be to Allah) to remind the Imam and women should clap their hands softly.

سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: امام کو یاد کرانے کے لئے مردوں کو سبحان اللہ کہنا چاہیے اور عورتوں کو ہلکی آواز میں تالی بجانی چاہیے۔
Sayyidna Jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya imam ko yaad karane ke liye mardon ko subhan allah kehna chahie aur auraton ko halki aawaz mein taali bajani chahie
حَدَّثَنَا عَبِيدَةُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" التَّسْبِيحُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ لِلرِّجَالِ، وَالتَّصْفِيقُ لِلنِّسَاءِ".
