Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 14871
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gave this verdict that whatever is given to a person for his lifetime, it will belong to him and his children and the one who gave it, it is separated from him because of this.

سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے یہ فیصلہ فرمایا ہے کہ جس شخص کو عمربھر کے لئے کوئی چیز دے دی گئی ہو وہ اس کی اور اس کی اولاد کی ہو گی اور جس نے دی وہ اس کی اس بات کی وجہ سے جداہو گئی۔
Sayyidna Jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ye faisla farmaya hai ki jis shakhs ko umrbhar ke liye koi cheez de di gayi ho wo uski aur uski aulad ki hogi aur jisne di wo uski us baat ki wajah se juda ho gayi.
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَخِي بْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ ، وَقَدْ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، أَنَّ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أخْبَرَهُ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" قَضَى أَنَّهُ مَنْ أَعْمَرَ رَجُلًا عُمْرَى لَهُ وَلِعَقِبِهِ، فَإِنَّهَا لِلَّذِي يُعْمَرُهَا، قَدْ بَتَّهَا مِنْ صَاحِبِهَا الَّذِي أَعْمَرَهَا، مَا وَقَعَ مِنْ مَوَارِيثِ اللَّهِ وَحَقِّهِ".
