Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 15005
Abu Muqtal said that once I was in the company of Sayyidina Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) and requested him to narrate a Hadith which he had witnessed personally. He said: When my father passed away, he was indebted with a few Wasqs (a measure of weight) of dates. We only had a few different types of dates and some Ajwa dates, which were insufficient to clear our debt. Therefore, I went to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and mentioned this matter. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent me to the lender, but he refused to accept any dates except for Ajwa. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Go and give him Ajwa dates." So, I went to my tent and began cutting the date palms. We also had a goat that we used to feed with fodder, and it had become quite healthy. Suddenly, we saw two men approaching. As they came closer, we realized it was the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and Sayyidina Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). I welcomed them both. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Jabir, come with us. We want to take a walk in your garden." I replied, "Very well." So, we took a walk in the garden. Meanwhile, I instructed my wife, and she slaughtered the young goat. Then, we brought a cushion made of hair and filled with date palm fiber for the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to lean on, but we couldn't find another cushion for Sayyidina Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). After a while, I laid out a cloth and placed two types of dates and the meat on it, and presented it before the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and Sayyidina Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). Both of them ate. Naturally, I felt shy. As the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) got up to leave, my wife requested him to pray for us. So, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prayed for our blessings. After that, I summoned my lenders, and they came with their sickles and baskets. By the One in whose hand is my soul, I swear that I paid them twenty Wasqs of Ajwa dates from that garden, and a significant amount was still left over. I went to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to share this good news and how Allah had bestowed His mercy upon me. When I told the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) this news, he said twice, "Alhamdulillah (All praise is for Allah)." Then, he said to Sayyidina Umar, "Jabir has paid off all the debts of his lenders." Sayyidina Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) also started thanking Allah.

ابومتوکل کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ میں سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اور ان سے عرض کیا: کہ مجھے کوئی ایسی حدیث سنائی جس کا آپ نے مشاہدہ کیا ہوانہوں نے فرمایا کہ میرے والد صاحب کا انتقال ہو گیا ان پر کچھ وسق کھجوروں کا قرض تھا ہمارے پاس مختلف قسم کی چند کھجوریں اور کچھ عجوہ تھی جس سے ہمارا قرض ادا نہیں ہو سکتا تھا چنانچہ میں نے نبی ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہو کر یہ بات ذکر کر دی نبی ﷺ نے مجھے قرض خواہ کے پاس بھیجا لیکن اس نے سوائے عجوہ کے کوئی دوسری کھجور لینے سے انکار کر دیا نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: جا کر اسے عجوہ ہی دیدو چنانچہ میں اپنے خیمے میں پہنچا اور کھجوروں کو کاٹنا شروع کر دیا ہمارے پاس ایک بکری بھی تھی جسے ہم گھاس پھوس کھلایا کرتے تھے اور وہ خوب صحت مند ہو گئی تھی۔ اچانک ہم نے دیکھا کہ دو آدمی چلے آرہے ہیں قریب آئے تو دیکھا کہ وہ نبی ﷺ اور سیدنا عمر تھے میں نے ان دونوں کو خوش آمدید کہا نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: جابر رضی اللہ عنہ ہمارے ساتھ چلو ہم تمہارے باغ کا ایک چکر لگانا چاہتے ہیں میں نے عرض کیا: بہت بہتر چنانچہ ہم نے باغ کا ایک چکر لگایا ادھر میں نے اپنی بیوی کو حکم دیا اور اس نے بکری کا بچہ ذبح کر لیا پھر ہم ایک تکیہ لائے جس سے نبی ﷺ نے ٹیک لگائی وہ بالوں کا بنا ہوا تھا اور اس میں کھجور کی چھال بھری ہوئی تھی لیکن سیدنا عمر کے لئے دوسرا تکیہ نہ مل سکا۔ تھوڑی دیر بعد میں نے دسترخوان بچھایا اور اس پر دو طرح کھجوریں اور گوشت لا کر رکھا اور نبی ﷺ اور سیدنا عمر کے سامنے پیش کیا ان دونوں نے کھانا تناول فرمایا: مجھ پر فطری طور حیاء کا غلبہ تھا جب نبی ﷺ اٹھ کر جانے لگے تو میری بیوی نے نبی ﷺ سے دعا کی درخواست کی چنانچہ نبی ﷺ نے ہمارے لئے برکت کی دعا کی اس کے بعد میں نے اپنے قرض خواہوں کو بلا بھیجا وہ درانتیاں اور قینچیاں لے کر آ گئے لیکن اس ذات کی قسم جس کی دست قدرت میں میری جان ہے میں نے انہیں اس باغ میں بیس وسق عجوہ کھجور ادا کر دی اور اس کے باوجود بھی وہ بڑی مقدار میں بچ گئی میں نبی ﷺ کو یہ خوش خبری سنانے چلا گیا کہ اللہ نے مجھ پر کتنی مہربانی فرمائی ہے جب میں نے نبی ﷺ کو یہ خوش خبری سنائی تو آپ نے دو مرتبہ فرمایا: اللھم لک الحمد پھر سیدنا عمر سے فرمایا کہ جابر رضی اللہ عنہ نے اپنے قرض خواہوں کا ساراقرض اتاردیا سیدنا عمر بھی اللہ کا شکر کرنے لگے۔
Abu Mutokal kehty hain keh aik martaba main syedna Jabir razi Allah tala anhu ki khidmat mein hazir hua aur un se arz kiya keh mujhe koi aisi hadees sunaien jis ka ap ne mushahida kiya ho unhon ne farmaya keh merey walid sahab ka inteqal ho gaya un par kuch wasaq khajuron ka qarz tha humare paas mukhtalif qisam ki chand khajurian aur kuch ajwa thi jis se hamara qarz ada nahin ho sakta tha chunancha main ne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki khidmat mein hazir ho kar yeh baat zikar kar di Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne mujhe qarz khwah ke paas bheja lekin us ne siwae ajwa ke koi dusri khajur lene se inkar kar diya Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya ja kar usey ajwa hi de do chunancha main apne khaime mein pahuncha aur khajuron ko kaatna shuru kar diya humare paas ek bakri bhi thi jise hum ghaas phoos khilaya karte thy aur wo khoob sehat mand ho gayi thi achanak hum ne dekha keh do aadmi chale aa rahe hain qareeb aaye to dekha keh wo Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) aur syedna Umar thy main ne un donon ko khush aamdeed kaha Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya Jabir razi Allah tala anhu humare sath chalo hum tumhare bagh ka aik chakkar lagana chahty hain main ne arz kiya bahut behtar chunancha hum ne bagh ka aik chakkar lagaya udhar main ne apni biwi ko hukum diya aur us ne bakri ka bachcha zabah kar liya phir hum aik takiya laye jis se Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne teek lagai wo balon ka bana hua tha aur is mein khajur ki chhaal bhari hui thi lekin syedna Umar ke liye dusra takiya nah mil saka thori dair baad main ne dastarkhwan bichhaya aur us par do tarah khajurian aur gosht la kar rakha aur Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) aur syedna Umar ke samne pesh kiya un donon ne khana tanawul farmaya mujh par fitri tor haya ka galba tha jab Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) uth kar jane lage to meri biwi ne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se dua ki darkhwast ki chunancha Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne humare liye barkat ki dua ki us ke baad main ne apne qarz khwahon ko bula bheja wo darantian aur qainchian le kar aa gaye lekin is zaat ki qasam jis ki dast qudrat mein meri jaan hai main ne unhen is bagh mein bees wasaq ajwa khajoor ada kar di aur us ke bawajood bhi wo bari miqdar mein bach gayi main Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko yeh khush khabri sunane chala gaya keh Allah ne mujh par kitni meharbani farmai hai jab main ne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko yeh khush khabri sunai to ap ne do martaba farmaya Allahumma lakal hamd phir syedna Umar se farmaya keh Jabir razi Allah tala anhu ne apne qarz khwahon ka sara qarz utaar diya syedna Umar bhi Allah ka shukar karne lage.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَقِيلٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُتَوَكِّلِ ، قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، فَقُلْتُ: حَدِّثْنِي بِحَدِيثٍ شَهِدْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: تُوُفِّيَ وَالِدِي وَتَرَكَ عَلَيْهِ عِشْرِينَ وَسْقًا تَمْرًا دَيْنًا , وَلَنَا تُمْرَانٌ شَتَّى وَالْعَجْوَةُ لَا يَفِي بِمَا عَلَيْنَا مِنَ الدَّيْنِ , فَأَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لَهُ , فَبَعَثَ إِلَى غَرِيمِي , فَأَبَى إِلَّا أَنْ يَأْخُذَ الْعَجْوَةَ كُلَّهَا , فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" انْطَلِقْ فَأَعْطِهِ"، فَانْطَلَقْتُ إِلَى عَرِيشٍ لَنَا أَنَا وَصَاحِبَةٌ لِي , فَصَرَمْنَا تَمْرَنَا , وَلَنَا عَنْزٌ نُطْعِمُهَا مِنَ الْحَشَفِ قَدْ سَمُنَتْ , إِذَا أَقْبَلَ رَجُلَانِ إِلَيْنَا , إِذَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعُمَرُ , فَقُلْتُ: مَرْحَبًا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , مَرْحَبًا يَا عُمَرُ، فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" يَا جَابِرُ , انْطَلِقْ بِنَا حَتَّى نَطُوفَ فِي نَخْلِكَ هَذَا"، فَقُلْتُ: نَعَمْ، فَطُفْنَا بِهَا , وَأَمَرْتُ بِالْعَنْزِ فَذُبِحَتْ , ثُمَّ جِئْنَا بِوِسَادَةٍ , فَتَوَسَّدَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِوِسَادَةٍ مِنْ شَعْرٍ حَشْوُهَا لِيفٌ , فَأَمَّا عُمَرُ فَمَا وَجَدْتُ لَهُ مِنْ وِسَادَةٍ , ثُمَّ جِئْنَا بِمَائِدَةٍ لَنَا عَلَيْهَا رُطَبٌ وَتَمْرٌ وَلَحْمٌ , فَقَدَّمْنَاهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعُمَرَ، فَأَكَلَا وَكُنْتُ أَنَا رَجُلًا مِنْ نِشْوِيِّ الْحَيَاءُ , فَلَمَّا ذَهَبَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَنْهَضُ , قَالَتْ صَاحِبَتِي: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , دَعَوَاتٌ مِنْكَ، قَالَ:" نَعَمْ، فَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ"، قَالَ:" نَعَمْ , فَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ"، ثُمَّ بَعَثْتُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ إِلَى غُرَمَائِي , فَجَاءُوا بِأَحْمِرَةٍ وَجَوَالِيقَ , وَقَدْ وَطَّنْتُ نَفْسِي أَنْ أَشْتَرِيَ لَهُمْ مِنَ الْعَجْوَةِ، أُوفِيهِمُ الْعَجْوَةَ الَّذِي عَلَى أَبِي , فَأَوْفَيْتُهُمْ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ عِشْرِينَ وَسْقًا مِنَ الْعَجْوَةِ، وَفَضَلَ فَضْلٌ حَسَنٌ، فَانْطَلَقْتُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُبَشِّرُهُ بِمَا سَاقَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ إِلَيَّ، فَلَمَّا أَخْبَرْتُهُ، قَالَ:" اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ , اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ"، فَقَالَ لِعُمَرَ:" إِنَّ جَابِرًا قَدْ أَوْفَى غَرِيمَهُ"، فَجَعَلَ عُمَرُ يَحْمَدُ اللَّهَ.
