Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 15023
Ibrahim bin Abdur Rahman and Hassan bin Muhammad say that once we went to see Sayyidina Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) and he was praying wrapped in a single cloth, even though he had another cloth hanging on the wall nearby. When he finished the prayer, he said, "I did this so you both could see, for I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) praying in this way."

ابراہیم بن عبدالرحمن اور حسن بن محمد کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ ہم لوگ سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ کے یہاں گئے وہ ایک کپڑے میں لپٹ کر نماز پڑھ رہے تھے حالانکہ دوسری چادر بھی مسجد کے قریب دیوار پر تھی جب انہوں نے سلام پھیرا تو انہوں نے فرمایا کہ میں نے یہ اس لئے کہا ہے کہ تم دونوں دیکھ لو میں نے نبی ﷺ کو اس طرح کرتے ہوئے دیکھا ہے۔
Ibrahim bin Abdurrahman aur Hasan bin Muhammad kahte hain ke ek martaba hum log Sayyidna Jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ke yahan gaye woh ek kapre mein lipat kar namaz padh rahe the halanke dusri chadar bhi masjid ke qareeb deewar par thi jab unhon ne salam phera to unhon ne farmaya ke maine ye is liye kaha hai ke tum donon dekh lo maine Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko is tarah karte huye dekha hai.
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ ، قَالَ: وَسَمِعْتُهُ يَذْكُرُ يَعْنِي أَبَاهُ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبِيعَةَ ، وَعَنْ حَسَنِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ , أَنَّهُمَا دَخَلَا عَلَى جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ السَّلَمِيِّ , وَهُوَ" يُصَلِّي مُلْتَحِفًا وَرِدَاؤُهُ عَلَى جَدْرِ مَسْجِدِهِ"، فَصَلَّى ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ إِلَيْنَا، فَقَالَ لَنَا: إِنَّمَا صَلَّيْتُ لِتَرَيَانِي، إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي هَكَذَا.
