Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 15154

Narrated Jabir (RA): The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "The example of a believer is that of a fresh plant of crop which gets blown by the wind and sometimes it straightens up and sometimes it bends down, and the example of a disbeliever is that of a cypress tree; it remains straight until it falls down (all at once)."

سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: مسلمان کی مثال گندم کے خوشے کی سی ہے جو کبھی گرتا ہے اور کبھی سنبھلتا ہے اور کافر کی مثال چاول کی سی ہے جو ہمیشہ تنا ہی رہتا ہے یہاں تک کہ گر جاتا ہے اور اس پر بال نہیں آتے (یا اسے پتہ نہیں چلتا)۔

Syedna Jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ke Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: Musalman ki misaal gandam ke khushe ki si hai jo kabhi girta hai aur kabhi sambhalta hai aur kafir ki misaal chawal ki si hai jo hamesha tana hi rehta hai yahan tak ke gir jata hai aur is par baal nahi aate (ya ise pata nahi chalta).

حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:" مَثَلُ الْمُؤْمِنِ مَثَلُ السُّنْبُلَةِ , تَسْتَقِيمُ مَرَّةً وَتَخِرُّ مَرَّةً , وَمَثَلُ الْكَافِرِ مَثَلُ الْأَرْزَةِ , لَا تَزَالُ مُسْتَقِيمَةً حَتَّى تَخِرَّ وَلَا تَشْعُرُ".
