Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 1527
It is narrated by Sayyiduna Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas, may Allah be pleased with him, that once in the presence of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, the plague was mentioned. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "It is a punishment that was sent upon the nations before you. So do not enter the land where it is widespread, and if you are in a land and it breaks out, then do not leave it."

سیدنا سعد بن ابی وقاص رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ کی موجودگی میں طاعون کا ذکر چھڑ گیا، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”یہ ایک عذاب ہے جو تم سے پہلی امتوں پر آیا تھا، اس لئے جس علاقے میں یہ وبا پھیلی ہوئی ہو، تم وہاں مت جاؤ، اور اگر تم کسی علاقے میں ہو اور وہاں یہ وبا پھیل جائے تو وہاں سے نہ نکلو۔“
Sayyidna Saad bin Abi Waqas RA se marvi hai keh ek martaba Nabi SAW ki mojoodgi mein ta'oon ka zikar chhid gaya, Nabi SAW ne farmaya: "Yeh ek azab hai jo tum se pehli ummaton per aaya tha, is liye jis ilaqe mein yeh waaba pheili hui ho, tum wahan mat jao, aur agar tum kisi ilaqe mein ho aur wahan yeh waaba phel jaye to wahan se na niklo."
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ , وَعَفَّانُ , قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا سَلِيمُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ , قَالَ عَفَّانُ: حَدَّثَنِي , عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعْدٍ , عَنْ سَعْدٍ , أَنَّ الطَّاعُونَ ذُكِرَ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ:" إِنَّهُ رِجْزٌ أُصِيبَ بِهِ مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ، فَإِذَا كَانَ بِأَرْضٍ فَلَا تَدْخُلُوهَا، وَإِذَا كُنْتُمْ بِأَرْضٍ، وَهُوَ بِهَا، فَلَا تَخْرُجُوا مِنْهَا".
