Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 16416
It is narrated from some of the Ansar companions that we would pray the Maghrib prayer with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). After praying, we would return to our homes while practicing archery, and even then, the place where our arrows landed would not be hidden from us, until we reached our homes in the last corner of Madinah.

کچھ انصاری صحابہ سے مروی ہے کہ ہم لوگ نبی ﷺ کے ساتھ مغرب کی نماز پڑھتے نماز پڑھ کر ہم تیر اندازی کرتے ہوئے اپنے گھروں کو واپس لوٹتے تھے اس وقت بھی ہم سے تیر گرنے کی جگہ اوجھل نہ ہو تی تھی۔ یہاں تک کہ مدینہ منورہ کے آخری کونے میں واقع اپنے گھر پہنچ جاتے۔
Kuch Ansari sahaba se marvi hai ke hum log Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath maghrib ki namaz parhte namaz parh kar hum teer andazi karte hue apne gharon ko wapas laut te the us waqt bhi hum se teer girne ki jagah ujal na ho ti thi yahan tak ke Madina Munawwara ke aakhri kone mein waqe apne ghar pahunch jate.
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بِشْرٍ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ بِلَالٍ اللَّيْثِيِّ ، قَالَ: صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ نَفَرٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَحَدَّثُونِي أَنَّهُمْ:" كَانُوا يُصَلُّونَ الْمَغْرِبَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ثُمَّ يَنْطَلِقُونَ يَتَرَامَوْنَ لَا يَخْفَى عَلَيْهِمْ مَوَاقِعُ سِهَامِهِمْ حَتَّى يَأْتُونَ دِيَارَهُمْ فِي أَقْصَى الْمَدِينَةِ".
