Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 16439
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid, may Allah be pleased with him, that once the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, went out for the prayer for rain. On this occasion, he turned towards the Qibla and reversed his cloak. He then recited in a loud voice and prayed two rak'ahs.

سیدنا عبداللہ بن زید رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ نماز استسقاء کے لئے نکلے، اس موقع پر قبلہ کی طرف رخ کر کے آپ نے اپنی چادر پلٹ لی تھی اور بلند آواز سے قرأت کر کے دو رکعتیں پڑھائی تھیں۔
Sayyidna Abdullah bin Zaid razi Allah anhu se marvi hai ki ek martaba Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) namaz istisqa ke liye nikle, is mauqe par qibla ki taraf rukh kar ke aap ne apni chadar palat li thi aur buland aawaz se qirat kar ke do rakatain parhaee thin.
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ ، قَالَ: شَهِدْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" خَرَجَ يَسْتَسْقِي، فَوَلَّى ظَهْرَهُ النَّاسَ، وَاسْتَقْبَلَ الْقِبْلَةَ، وَحَوَّلَ رِدَاءَهُ، وَجَعَلَ يَدْعُو، وَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ، وَجَهَرَ بِالْقِرَاءَةِ".
